A guy I know on another forum is making some crazy claims at least I think they are but I don`t have a great frame of reference so I was wondering what you guys think.
Weight 75kg (165lbs). Claims he can squat 45kg for 100reps non stop then do another 50 at 180kg (396lbs) in 10 rep bursts? Also claiming 270kg (594lbs) squats in 8 rep sets although I`m not sure if this is at 75kg weight.
The gentleman in question isn`t a bodybuilder but is a semi-professional cyclist so obviously does a lot of leg work.
Thoughts?

over 3x bodyweight for 8 reps. BRILLIANT!!!
If what I see does not amaze me, I am not looking hard enough.
The more you learn, the more you realize you don't know.

LO ****ING L
olympic weightlifters are the strongest squatters ever, Leonid Taranenko could do an 836lbs 2 second pause back squat (SHW), Pyrros Dimas could front squat 605lbs at 187lbs bw, Alexander Kurlovich supposidly did 881 in the back squat at 253lbs bw, Hossein Rezazedeh does 617lbs in the front squat like it's nothing, many other examples of olympic lifters with incredible squatting power way over 600lbs.'Prior to the Department of Education, there was no illiteracy'

Im not a big "max guy" myself.
I have heard that if you can do your bodyweight your stronger then most of the population, if you can do twice your bodyweight your prolly in the upper 5% of your gym and are very strong, and if you can do 3 times your weight your Competition worthy and olympics potential.
