pushing yourself to the limit in skill training (training by myself)

i am doing basketball skill training. and i just find myself going like 60% and if i try to push my limits, i would come back down, i cannot push myself for an extended amount of time because either i forget or i just dont! when i had a trainer he would oush me to the limit and i never gave up....
