Arrow ITT we post things we hate seeing personal trainers do....

I hate seeing PT eating while training their clients. I hate seeing PT texting while training their clients. I hate seeing PT not correcting poor form. I hate seeing PT that are not in shape. Anyone else have anything they hate seeing personal trainers doing?

I want to become a PT to help people, I don't want to be a salesman. Will I be hired?

I have a career already, so I'd likely just do this as a part time gig, primarily to help people at the gym who may want assistance or who may feel discouraged or what have you. I don't want to get involved in high sales pressure. I am not in this to make money, but I know gyms are, so if I don't...

New personal trainer... have a feeling I'm getting ripped off.

Hey so I just got a job at Gold's Gym, but I feel that I am getting ripped off. The manager that I am working with is pretty nice, but he is only offering me 30% for each client. That means I ONLY get paid when working with a client. So if they pay $50 for a session I only get paid $15. I don't...

How did you study and pass the CSCS exam?

I am currently studying for the exam. Basically just going through the book (3rd edition), reading and answering practice questions. I'm looking to get tips on what people found helpful in the studying process and what study materials are worth the money. Thanks!

Thoughts/Opinions on Pay Split with Gym

Current gym is 50/50 split and then 10% if another employee signs client up. The owner of the gym trains people as well, and is taking 10% commission making it 40% (PT)/60% gym if he passes a client off since he wants more time to run the gym. Does it seem fair for the owner to take an additional...
