Forum: Workout Equipment

What should you use?

Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Craigslist Thread (Round 3)

The last thread got up over 10,000 posts with too many people asking if they should pick up the bowflex down the street, so it's time to start a new one. Let's all keep our eyes open for the shake weights for .20/lb, strap on our Chucks, and speed away on our unicycles for those sweet pick ups....

Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Power Rack Thread - August 2010 version

This is a collaborative effort from the equipment forum members. The 2008 edition has a lot of broken links and rather than keep that one going we decided to start a new one. First let’s have a few definitions to clear up some confusion. Squat Stands: These are probably the most useless...

Sticky Thread Sticky: Official Newbie Bowflex Search

So you are new and dumb enough to believe the Bowflex commercials, before you get flamed and negged into the red, use the damn search function to get the answer to "dude, should I be ignorant and think about getting a bowflex" OK, now if you post another thread, you get what is coming to...

For anyone debating on bestbelts.net

Buy the Athelete Belt from Best Belts, you will not be disappointed. Took a lot of time to research and read many threads on here and other sites, best belts was always held in high regard. Even then, I was unsure but one day decided to pull the trigger on it. Got it about 6 or 7 weeks after...

Have some questions about bumper plates and racks.

I'm setting up a home gym and have roughly $1,000 to spend. A few years ago, I had a very basic power rack (entry level Power Line) and a cheap Sports Authority Olympic Set with the cheap bar. It served my purpose at the time and I know the importance of having a power rack for safety when lifting...

Leg machine (leverage or other) for a smallish area

I've been considering a leverage squat machine, like the Powertech one, or the BodySolid. I have no interest in non assisted squat racks at this time, just either a leverage one or possibly something else I haven't seen yet. I don't have a huge amount of space so these seemed appealing. I'm on the...

KBKB's Trigger point and massage Tool Thread.

I have, or at least I think I have, a case of Plantar Fasciitis. This is a self diagnosis; I haven't yet seen a doctor about it. I've tried various things to relieve the heel pain that I'm experiencing and to hopefully fix the problem. One of the more promising things that I've been trying in...

CFF Flat Bench

I'm putting together my first garage gym, got a lightly used TPB, ~500lbs in lightly used plates that I refinished, and a Titan Rack. All set besides the bench, which is giving me a headache (seems common). CL not an option, San Antonio CL is garbage or i'm not good at it. Looking for $100-200...

A good roman chair ?

Hey there, so i'm starting ICF 5x5 soon and am in search of a roman chair. I have a smallish budget, don't want to spend 300-400 dollars on one. Can anybody recommend a lower priced roman chair that doesn't wobble and is unbalanced ?
