What should you use?

Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Craigslist Thread (Round 3)

The last thread got up over 10,000 posts with too many people asking if they should pick up the bowflex down the street, so it's time to start a new one. Let's all keep our eyes open for the shake weights for .20/lb, strap on our Chucks, and speed away on our unicycles for those sweet pick ups....

Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Power Rack Thread - August 2010 version

This is a collaborative effort from the equipment forum members. The 2008 edition has a lot of broken links and rather than keep that one going we decided to start a new one. First let’s have a few definitions to clear up some confusion. Squat Stands: These are probably the most useless...

Rubber ivankos. Please discuss

I have the chance to buy some rubber coated ivanko rubos for about 1.50 per pound. I read a bunch of threads comparing metal vs rubber plates. This includes the recent poster who was selling his rubber plates because he missed the sound of the metal plates while lifting. I have been searching for...

Putins home gym

Just read an article in the daily mail about Vladimir Putin working out "with prime minister Dmitry Medvedev in his gym in Sochi". Not sure whether that's Vlad's gym, or Medevedev's. Or neither; the article was mainly concerned with signalling a mocking tone - though it never really got around to...

Hi, I have researched the forum pretty extensively and have read a bunch of discussion on low ceiling issues and power racks, but some is dated and each situation seems to be unique. Mine is: basement has unfinished ceiling. Bottom of joists are 81-82" depending on the spot. My 14 year old...
