Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Craigslist Thread (Round 3)

The last thread got up over 10,000 posts with too many people asking if they should pick up the bowflex down the street, so it's time to start a new one. Let's all keep our eyes open for the shake weights for .20/lb, strap on our Chucks, and speed away on our unicycles for those sweet pick ups....

Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Power Rack Thread - August 2010 version

This is a collaborative effort from the equipment forum members. The 2008 edition has a lot of broken links and rather than keep that one going we decided to start a new one. First let’s have a few definitions to clear up some confusion. Squat Stands: These are probably the most useless...

Sticky Thread Sticky: Official Newbie Bowflex Search

So you are new and dumb enough to believe the Bowflex commercials, before you get flamed and negged into the red, use the damn search function to get the answer to "dude, should I be ignorant and think about getting a bowflex" OK, now if you post another thread, you get what is coming to...

Nautilus Power cage vs Rogue RML-390F Flat foot Monster Lite

As the title states, I'm now between these two options and the Nautilus is priced at around $1000 shipped. I know the Rogue RML-390F has great reviews but I can't find much about the Nautilus cage so I would love to hear from anyone who is familiar with it. Even if you think the Rogues is...

Smith Machine recommendations

I want to replace a squat rack and a bench press with a Smith machine to take up less floor space. Can anybody recommend a good one. My budget is $2000 -$2500 range. It will get lots of use as it is in a gym with about 80 users. I have attached pictures of the equipment I am wanting to replace.

New (to me) Adjustable Bench

My gym is getting smaller! I moved the Powertec Workbench out, but kept the actual bench from it for inclines. Earlier this year I bought an Xtreme Monkey flat bench, since the Powertec bench was too high (21"). Even though I freed up some space, I don't like moving 2 benches around or the...

My DIY earthquake bar

Got the fiberglass pole last night. Wrapped some athletic tape for grip, built up some ridges with electric tape to keep things from sliding around. Don't have any bands, but I suspect bungies will suffice. Played around with it last night, the 1 1/4" seems to be my choice, the 1" seems to have...

Does anyone know how well an Arm blaster works?

I've been reading the Arnold bodybuilding book and in it he recommends to use the Arm blaster and that its not being used in gyms anymore when it should be. I was just wondering if anyone has tried it and how well it works as well as if its worth the buy?
