Thumbs up Vintage Women's Bodybuilding

I just saw this video on Amazon Prime. Wow, women's bodybuilding has come so far over the last few decades. This is a must watch in my opinion. There is also some vintage footage of Rachel Mclish Search Women's Bodybuilding Down Under in Amazon Prime Video.

Going from skinny-fat to lean and cut.

Hey all- So I come from a long history of an unhealthy body image and different eating disorders and I'm finally in a place where I'm ready to crack down and treat my body like it deserves. However, I am still suffering the physical effects of that history. I at one point lost a lot of weight...

Getting stronger than my husband?

I'm already repping more weight than my husband and with better form on squat. On deadlifts I'm also pushing past his PRs. He's definitely got my beat on bench press and OH press, as well as height and muscle mass. He's supposed to be my big strong man but for whatever reason I'm just doing...

Cool Beginner looking for guidance

New to the BB scene and just wondering what kind of supplements I should be on (or what is helping other people) for the best success? I took a multivitamin this past month called Vita-Build. It's terrible. Didn't do anything for me. Other than that I've only ventured to pre-workouts and protein...

Morally ambiguous gym question

As some of you know, I've lately switched my focus from running/swimming (triathlon stuff) to lifting. I love it--I feel so much more comfortable in my skin and more satisfied with my energy and strength day-to-day, and my entire friend group can see it and is impressed (especially when I do...

Help please? Need some guidance

Hi All, So in January I was maintaining a good 96-97 pounds on 2300-2500 calories. I didn't work out aside from being very active with my job and what not. Over the last 7 months I've gained 5 pounds from eating less (2000-2300) and exercising more (1 hour of elliptical 3-7 times a week on top...

Can I tone a large bum without shrinking it?

Hi, When I was 2 stone lighter I had a large (in comparison to the rest of me) perky bum, but since my gradual (and unwanted) 2 stone gain I feel my bum has stayed the same in size whilst the rest of me has increased. I have finally started cardio and hitt in order to shift that unwated 2 stone,...

What are yours floor press (or bench press) : squat ratios?

I've noticed my FP:SQ ratio is 1. I always thought legs should be stronger than the arms and the ratio maybe more like 0,5 or 0,75? I don't have a bench at home, so I do floor presses instead. Post your ratios and add a comment of which exercises (ex. BP/SQ or FP/SQ).

My Dad just told me I'm getting to muscular and it's unattractive... Suggestions?

Hi All, So I'm 22. I started lifting a little over a year ago. I've lost 25 pounds, went from a 34D to a 32A, size 6/8 to size 0/2. I started to just loose weight and tone up, well I leaned out a lot but was getting super skinny so I began pushing myself to lift heavy. I switch from Strength...

weight of bar on Smith Machine?

Hello all, Does anyone know how much the bar on a smith machine weighs? I have been using it for flat bench press and my trainer told me it only weighs ten pounds at the most. Is this correct? I always thought it weighed more like 25 or 35 pounds.
