Lawd I remember sneaking downstairs in the middle of the night to play on the computer.. dat nervous as fuk feel when the internet was connecting and I was afraid my parents were gonna hear that loud as fuk, god awful sound.

I used to flush the toilet, run over to the computer and try to quickly connect.. the water going through the pipes would sort of drown out the sound of it connecting lol

I played so much Age of Empires and Ages of Empires: Rise of Rome online, when it was hosted on Microsoft's "The Zone".

Got our first Windows 95 PC, a Gateway for like $3000 in 96, had EarthLink dial-up. Lol, leave PC on at night with Kazaa open, hoping the 1 or 2 songs I queued for download would be done and the internet wouldn't disconnect. Fuuuu, fck parents friends and family when they called the house in the middle of an epic game online and you got disconnected. Boyfriend / girlfriend status wasn't official until your AIM buddy info said, "<3 6/22/01".
