Right now I am on a "dirty bulk" where I'm in "disregard fat, acquire mass" mode and I wanted to know TBB's opinion on Mcdonalds for bulking.
For breakfast I drove to McDonalds and had a bacon egg and cheese bagel with cinnamon melts... total calories = 1000. Drank a protein shake with it and that's 1500 calories.
What do you guys think?

added a phuckton of mass and all my lifts went up a lot, I gained 10 lbs in 3 months so most of it was muscle
albeit it was easier to fit into my macroes being 6'2, 190 lbs my bmr was already pretty high, for shorter/lighter people it may not be a good idea
and dont get me wrong, eating healthier/"cleaner" would be way better, i was just too lazy to prepare food every day and mcdonalds was cheap/easy to countEvery aspiring lad wants to be a bodybuilder, but by George, nobody wants to elevate these burdensome weights.

Still squatting and deadlifting and hitting my target weights, I'm on my 3rd week and instead of increasing the poundages by 20 and then 10, I did 15 and 10.
I've been growing, but my lower back feels...weird. Almost as if it's made of cardboard when I'm standing and I flex it.
I had to replace close grip bench with skullcrushers because I have bicipital tendonitis in my left shoulder, but I'll switch back when that goes away.
Overall pretty good.
Edit: Also wanted to add that my lower back is perpetually sore/fatigued. No idea how that's going to play out, time isn't fixing it.

IMO eating McDonalds is fine in the sense of IIFYM if you don't care about getting fat, but fast food has way too much calories for its other macronutrients. You're probably going to have to eat way over your standard bulking calories in order to hit all of your macros, which will just add on unnecessary fat.
I don't really see the point of eating that much calories, as eating too much of a surplus will just turn into fat instead of helping build muscle.
But since you don't mind getting fat, by all means go for it. It should be fine in a bodybuilding sense, but in a general health sense (such as stuff like free radicals, triglycerides, etc) it won't suffice.Starting Weight: 108 lb (21 months)
