i have only 2 weeks left before i start bulking, my maint is 2000cal and i wane to lose 4 pounds so if i eat 1000 calories would that trigger the starvation response or is it a myth?

lol buddy I was in your same boat a few months ago. you expect that because you're light you'll have some bulging myspace abs, that is not reality. You have no muscle at all, so even if you do starve yourself you'll just end up with an unimpressive skinny six pack. Clean bulk, lift heavy, and get enough sleep and you'll get muscular. Cutting at 135 lbs is really really really dumb, I considered doing it when I first started and I'm really happy I did not.
Trust me, if you bulk now you will be a lot happier with your body in 6 months than if you cut down to 130.1 Rep Max Lifts:6/9/2011

i would definitely stop cutting...1,000calories depending on your workout is nothing at all...
my breakfast meal is more than that.
like everyone said just start with a clean bulk then increase calories from there..you shouldnt put on any fat as long as your work out accordingly and diet right.
