"Lulu Lemon Day" at Crossfit LA.
Basically everything that's wrong with it, all in one room, at one time. Full of lolz. Maybe 2 or 3 built dudes in the entire "competition". And whatever the **** that is at 2:20 is classic (though not as funny as 'kipping').:

Jumping Pull Ups.
I honestly thought it was going to be the jump you have to make in the burpee to pull up variation. You really need to jump to reach the bar, and the momentum doesn't carry you through the pull up.
The Crossfit jumping pull ups looks like an okay lower body exercise, but bouncing up and down on sliding weight plates is asking for trouble.Last edited by broad.stance; 11-07-2009 at 09:55 AM.
Hums the theme to Superman during planks and LYTPs. Now that you've read this, you will too.
All right boys, now watch how this is done. The key is to put it all in your groin and your back.
Take your legs totally out of the equation. Lift with your lower back in a jerking, twisting motion.

the girls look nice. I think it is an excellent program for girls wanting to stay fit and look toned without the dreaded treadmill/elliptical. My g/f swears by it, me?.........NO WAY.

He's not the average person, the average person doesn't do ANYTHING. What your friend does could get you in great shape over time if he's not dicking around.
But eh, I guess this kind of stuff is good for the general population. Everyone can't have my dedication to working out, they need to be lead and encouraged through slight physical pain. Better than nothing.

Think he was joking brah, or at least I hope that's the case. This kind of training can give you decent conditioning but it's such an ignorant way to go about it. Basically doing bad form as quickly as possible. I agree with the above comment that crossfitters are probably ADHD and this is their outlet. They'll regret it in the long-term though. So many better ways to achieve their desired results (which obviously are not strength or mass).

Yeah, some of this stuff is pretty ridiculous looking, but I think some of what they do with Crossfit must work to an extent. I went to high school with this girl who is right at five feet tall and weighs right at 100 lbs. She's still at the same weight and posted a video on a social networking site of herself deadlifting 225. For someone of her size, that's pretty good, and Crossfit is all she's ever done as far as lifting goes.

I give them credit for actually doing something that resembles exercise. But that's about it.
Second, they're Californians. Nothing done in California necessarily makes sense to the rest of the world.
The whole thing was just to painful to watch, honestly. You just know that some "fitness guru" is making a bunch of money off the fact that people basically don't know WTF they are doing, and so will latch on to any sort of craze. No doubt they brag about how they are "hardcore" lifters and don't do all that "aerobics crap".☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.
