You do realize Government isn't a living thing....if it turned on its citizens it'd lose the officers, and forces for which you assume would so gladly turn to attack family and friends.

I know a lot of LEOs and current/prior military that, if push came to shove, would stick their rifles up the ass of whoever was giving unconstitutional orders.

And I know that there are those who will do what they are told, regardless, and I know that there are elitists who think certain rights, Liberties, arms, etc, shouldn't be in the hands of regular people.

I have a 4x4 bro...I work very closely with a ton of government folks, all with armories that'd make Farley salivate...I feel sorry for anyone dumb enough to try and tell them they need to hand over their weapons.

Do you think a "tyrannical government" is just going to ring your doorbell and politely ask you to hand over your rights against the armed rebellion of their civilian population?

If we're seriously going to discuss a possible overthrow of American government, an entity who at some capacity will be in charge of a majority of the armed forces during such a preposterous scenario, discussing the strategic possibility that they might retaliate with forces against their own people is crazy?

I'm not sure about that either it's a 305 and I'm basically going stock, but want to make slight improvements where I can for HP...so specifically in the heads/camshaft I want to upgrade those.

Hey, listen, who knows: maybe I'm the overly optimistic a-hole who has enough confidence in modern day Americans (civilians and politicians), geopolitics, and checks and balances to surmise that such a terrible thing wouldn't happen in America.

I think you guys are absolutely on the fringe sometimes, but crazier things have happened throughout history.

I can admit on some level that you speak of a legitimate fear, but you should also know that this fear has been used and abused for political purposes for years now.

I actually don't know dick about engines mechanically.

I just know that 90% of the time torque is more important than HP, but having a lot of either never hurts.

Is it fast? Is it loud? Is it relatively reliable? If yes, then it's a good engine.

That's the extent of my expertise.

The camshaft you pick and what you do with the heads are directly related. I know enough to ask an expert about how to match them up, not how to actually do the matching myself.
