I normally don't post pr vids and such here in the main section but I'm rather happy with my pathetic squats . I could make a laundry list as to why I'm weak on the squat but no matter what I've dealt with injury wise the fact is I never really put the time in to get good at them until recently. I'm doing that now. Credit to all of you who post in your journals (and some that don't) for motivating me to get better at this lift. 425 for a single. Sorry I didn't get a shot of plate weight. Room is crazy small.
Edit to say I full expect this thread to get little to no responses and end up on page 3 in an hour. Lifting threads die a fast death around here

That went up pretty smooth. Congrats on the PR!

Negged and reported to mods for a) posting about lifting, b) producing vid instead of estats, and c) lifting up very heavy weights.
In future please stick to whiny threads about how great cardio is, and endless futile debates about whether or not some useless study reported in the mainstream media affects "loosing" fat and getting abs.

Way to handle on the down AND the up and congrats on 425. Looked like a very fluid rep.

Post a thread that would better-suit 'Runners World,' or a bit*h thread about how you're the only hardcore dude in your gym, and it'll roll to 6+ pages. No brain, no gain.

If you spent more time running on an incline on the treadmill and less time eating and lifting weights you would likely be Squatting 600 pounds by now. Every0one knows that cardio is better for gains than lifting weights :rolls eyes:
Just kidding, massive lift and looked easy for you.Eric

Thanks SB getting there slowly!
Thanks guys!
Spotter is a friend of mine who competes in powerlifting and has for over 30 years. Great guy and he's one of the reasons I've been getting better. We push each other. (He should deadlift over 500 at 181 this August in Rochester)
Thanks Dru!
Thanks again!
Thanks guys!
Cheeky aren't ya
Thanks!
Thanks Larry. Hope all is well.
Thanks Will.
Normally I wouldn't post a pr. I hit one on bench a few weeks back too but I'm super happy with my progress here. Surprisingly my leg is holding up (knock on wood).
Thanks!
Thank you!
You mean I need to do that for high reps
Thanks man!
Thanks!
Thanks Joel.
Appreciate it Jeff. We need to see you around more.
Thanks Eric. Looks can be deceiving.
Previous was 405 a few weeks ago but it went up too easy I needed to try for Moar!!! I follow 5/3/1 and have for almost a year so I try not to 1rm but deload next week and I felt good so...
Thanks!
Thank you.
Thanks again everyone. I'm really excited about the meet this upcoming August and hope I can put up some numbers I can be proud of.☻/

There is ZERO point in even attempting to give you greenz. It is just broken every time I try.
Seen the vid earlier in your journal but stupidly thought it was an old vid bumped because of the starting pic. Excuse me and my ignorance.
Awesome lift John. Great, solid, deep, strong up, strong everything. Looking like a monster also.
Seems like this little goal of yours you got going on with someone is working.
Glad I popped around here today. Your work ethic and assistance shows in that lift that you know what your talking about.
Waiting for the 435 soon.jpgRide it like you just stole it.
