Erm my muscles don't really feel fatigued?..?

I"ve been on the Rippetoe program and most of the time when I finish my workout, my muscles don't really feel the burn or pump like they've been worked hard. I mean every set, I struggle to finish and I have to push really hard... But it just doesn't feel like I've worked them out properly. My gains haven't been that great, but I think that could be due to my diet, which I'll try to fix up next month. Does it matter after a workout if I feel the burning sensation or not? Also, can anyone give me some pointers on how to do a BB row properly?

    barbell row.

    1) grab an olympic bar.

    2) arch ur back as u go into deadlift position and lift the bar slightly.

    3) use the wide grips. wider than ur shoulders.

    4) w/out swinging ur body about, pull the bar towards ur abs area, bending over slightly, about 45 degrees. remember, arch always.

    5) don't swing ur body about, only ur arms should be moving.

On SS, you're not supposed to feel the 'pump' or burnt out, as you are working with low reps, meaning lower volume. Soreness or aches aren't the best indicator for growth anyway, so as long as you're growing, then everythings fine.

Serach for Keths thread in the workout program section for vids of Pendlay rows by Vikingman.
