Is 140 pounds to light for someone 18 years old and 5'10"? What would be a good weight?

Depends on how much of that is muscle and fat. 140 sounds good as a number though

it depends a lot of guys on here want that diesed out hugeee look
but me for example im 5'11 id like to be around 160-165 cut up

I'm only 5'6 and im heavier than you, and i think im skinny skinny. I'd say a good target weight for 5'10 would probably be about 180. If it were me my first goal would be 220.

5' 10" is on the taller sde for a bber. If you get around 200+ you will look great IMO.

When I was 185 at 5'10" alot of people could tell I worked out, but not necessarily a bodybuilder. At 220 they can tell, though I'm not 'huge' by any means, you can just tell. I think theres a distinct difference between normal, athletic, and the bodybuilder type looks. Most guys fall between normal and athletic.

i'm 5'10 and at 190 lbs right now at about 10-11% body fat. i'm going to get up to 200 and then cut back to 190.

well im about 145ish and 5'10" and maybe 6%bf? its nice cause i can lift as much as a lot of the "bigger" guys in the weight room at school so its fun.

What was your waist measurement at 185? I'm 5'10 183lbs and look "athletic" in the clothes I wear to class, but when I get in the gym wearing shorts and a tank top and you can see the v-taper, I look like a decent competitive amateur .Originally Posted by K_muscleMemento Mori

Shoot for a solid 200 lbs, 180 lbs would be nice too.
140 is for sedentary skinny teens ........5'11 @ 220lbs.

depends what you want to look like. but just to be lean and athletic 5'10 160lbs around 11% bodyfat or lower is good

Yeah it really depends. I've seen guys that are 5'10" 160 who look like they never touched a weight, and then others who have decent development. Well thats what I'm guessing. My brother is 5'7'' and weighs 165. He is skinny. Granted he has some bodyfat (looks soft) but he is really skinny. I don't see how anyone could want to be 160 at that height or taller. That would be rediculously skinny.
