Hi, I'll keep this short n simple, Id been bulking for about 8 months in which I made good newbie gains of close to 20kg. Unfortunately, I then went on a holiday to a couple of countries for a couple of months, since my return, Ive carried a few inches around my waist.
Fast forward 3 months later to today and Im on a calorie deficit due to exam schedules and am doing constant cardio and this gut wont die.
I was hoping to start a new MaxOT bulk in a weeks time with my new diet written and everything.
My question to you is, should I try and get my midsection a bit tighter before I commence or just go for it?
Just looking for some feedback because Ive honestly been feeling like **** about myself

Skinny Fat: Bulk or Cut- Helpful Advice Pls?

If you're skinny fat you should bulk. The muscle you build will make you tighter. If you cut, you'll lose some fat and then you still dont have any muscle. Would you rather have muscle with alittle bit of fat or have bones and alittle bit of fat?

Thats sound logic, I just needed to hear it from someone else. Thanks. To give anyone else an idea of where Im at, I'll firstly put up a slightly older montage shot of myself, although Im at the same standing right now. And since my digicams busted, a couple of phone shots of my midsection to show how bad it truly is.
Thanks again mate

Haha because front shots scare me ! I have a lagging chest, + gutness + Im not the most hairless of people.
But mostly, my digicam is busted so I can only provide older shots of myself unfortunately.
Sorry I appreciate the feedback, I'll be going ahead with my plans for the bulk
This is about all I have in a front shot from my previous photos !

I think its just a bit of a downer for me as most of my teenage life Ive been around 52kg !!
Yes I had abs back then, to finally step into the 70's was a great achievement for me (yes I know Im still small, but I came from much less) But it just hurts to think "What have I done to myself" when I feel that mafuggin fat !!
Sorry about the major whinge guys, but I really appreciate it, mates in my normal walks of life who don't lift at all, just dont understand what I try to accomplish or why I even bother

Bulk man, its winter in Aus now, who gives a **** about midsection fat(it isn't a gut, if you can still fit 30-32 pants its fine). Hell I got a nasty midsection and my waist is smaller than everyone elses and I have a V taper. Wouldn't you rather fill out a shirt than have abs? Consider this too: with 3 months of bulking(provided you do it relatively clean) the fat has to spread itself out over that much more muscle, you could end up looking even leaner dpesite not drastically reducing fat. Wouldnt all that new mass make you stop wporrying about a gut anyway? Mass over abs anyday

20 kg in 8 months gotta be mostly fat ,tone down your carb intake very gradually while keeping the protein high .....drop the carbs slowly over months untill you find the minimum amount that allows you to train hard and function properly while shedding the fat !
It`s doable , be patient !5'11 @ 220lbs.
