Because I am doing squats. I know this isn't a problem, and I would like some sources I can show him so he'll stop complaining about it. Is this a reliable source?

More would be appreciated.

First off why would he complain about doing squats. Any person worth their salt in this sport knows that squats are the king of exercises and they do more benefits than anything. If done right and to progressively use heavier weight as your body adjusted to the resistance. It actually strengthens your lower back and knees.
Like the others have stated why does he not want you to squat.http://forum.illpumpyouup.com/

your dad is a bad parent. Have you called DHS on him yet? What parent guilts their child into not doing something constructive with the threat of their own incompetence?

people here are making a lot of assumptions, basically trying to "out Father" this 15 year old boys Father.....
Personally: it is none of our damn business....it has become our business only because this young man has posted here about it.
We don't know anything about the history of the relationship between this boy and his DAD, nor did he answer the question about his Mother....We don't know why or for what reason his Father has this strong feeling about an exercise, not knowing what might have happened to him long ago, or whatever.
in short, I'm sorry, we here on the internet are not to be surrogate parents for someone else's 15 year old son.
