The AST VP2... isn't it Whey Protein Isolate? Why is also says 100% Hydrolized Whey Peptide Isolate? I am now using Hydrolised WPI... is this stuff any different?

It isn't a WPI... It is simply whey hydrolyzate or hydrolyzed whey(aka hydro whey). True protein is prolly the best source you'll find though.

VP2 is better then say...Isopure, which is a good why isolate itself, because VP2 is also an isolate...but a hydrolysate isolate. This is a more predigested form, therefor less gets wasted as it goes right into your bloodstream.
Peptides are the aminoacids that construct the molecule. That " Oligopeptide" they speak of is a tri-peptide ( 3 amino acids).
Isopure on the other hand, is Ion-Exchange, which really isnt a good thing. Ion Exchange is a chemical process that destroys Cysteine, which is responsible for Glutathione production. This isnt desireable because Glutathione is the most anabolic amino acid available. While I still think Natures Best is a good, reputable company and Isopure is a good protein...a hydrolized whey isolate would be better. And to be honest...even a Nectar(Syntrax) would be better then Isopure because its not Ion-Exchange, and its cold filteres to enhance molecular stability.Baba-Booey

unless they mean it only contains hydrolyzed protein.
does it mix well? real hydrolyzed whey does not mix well at all
the highest quality best tasting and cheapest whey protein isolate product is sold through Giant BTW.
please try it

I'm an ISO100 user too(switched for partly the same reason & finally found another user -wat flava u liked?), and i've used VP2 once. Iso 100 tastes better too, IMO.
Everytime i mention ISO100, it doesn't get as much attention as when i mention VP2.
Yeah, back to the question asked, what makes VP2 better? (apart from aspartame)...
So, is ISO-100 as good as VP2?? both are 100% hydrolized whey right?
(i've tried both and ...i don't know how to tell the difference- iso100 has 0 carbs and 1g of protein more than VP2 though)...Last edited by wuzzo87; 08-18-2006 at 05:04 AM.

2. How America Whey Test(there wpi ion-exchanged)
and i want to know is vp2 or Giant or Is-soo , will it make that much of a difference, in strength levels and musclegrowth? Can anyone answer these questions....Patrick?
My Reasoning and Inutition tell me as long as its good high quality it wont wont a significant difference because as technology improves, so does the protein. Does that make sense?

amino acid profile
One of the main thigns ive relized is the amino acid profile. Thats one of the most important factors when finding a good quality whey protein. Vp2 and Iso-100 are about the same there some of the highest ive found. American Whey is low. I havnt saw giant yet. how good is the amino acid profile on one scoop of gaint? hows the price? Best quality ive found so far is Iso-100 and im still looking for a better price. Iso-100 is chepaer than vp2.

isopure sediment
I READ YOU POST AND I SAW YOU HAVE A BROAD KNOWLEDGE ABOUTH ISOPURE PROTEINE.
HAVE BEEN TAKIN ISOPURE ZERO CARB FOR A MONTH AND RESULTS ARE OK.
I HAVE NOTICED A SEDIMENT IS FORMED IN THE BOTTOM OF MY SHAKER IF I LEFT MY SHAKE FOR 10 MIN, AND ONCE IS FORMED IS IMPOSIBLE TO DISOLV IT AGAIN.
wHAT IS THAT!!! IS IT PART OF THE ION EXCHANGE RESIN USED TO ISOLET THE WHEY?
IS IT DANGEOROUS FOR MY HELATH???

No shouldnt be. Iso-100 profile is much higher than others. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR AMINO ACID PROFILE. example the L-leucine in iso-100 is almost 3,000 for one scoop. Which is up there with VP2. VP@ and Iso-100 are the only proteins ive found with superior amino acid profiles. Im sure there are others.
Just look at the company American Whey, i have used their stuff for years, but i recently found out there amino acid profile of one scoop is about one half the amount of Vp2 or Iso-100.
Can i get rep points for my reputation?
