Your best bet is to have an actual meal, such as egg whites and oatmeal, instead of the protein bars. In my opinion, protein bars are just a marketing ploy of candy bars disguised as healthy for you. It's quick and easy and convenient to make oatmeal and take with you, or just go home and shower and eat while you're getting ready.
