Your belly button is a hole to your stomach (basically). You were fed through it when you were in your momma's belly. If you don't wash it, it smells. It has nothing to do with weight loss.Originally Posted by Mike83

Sounds to me, since he said it was sore above the navel, that he has some sort of bacterial infection INSIDE his navel. I would go and have it looked at. Maybe some anti-biotics can clear that pain and smell up.
When you lose weight real fast, your body will dip into protein for energy. One of the first things your body cannibalizes are your muscles and your immune system. You could have comprimised your immune system this way.
