I'm sure this has been posted before and I am curious the best Creatine you have found for women (or if if matters men vs. women) and when you take it?

I've read quite a few posts about women taking Creatine. I'm looking for that extra boost to get me through my workouts. I am lifting based on the pyramid model and I either feel like i"m lifting to light on the lower end and cannot continually increase the weight to do the 3-4 sets based on the pyramid model.

There isn't anything wrong with females taking creatine as it is produced naturally by your body (albeit at smaller levels than supplementation).
I did notice, however, the one time I did take creatine my skin started to break out A LOT. This was a couple of years ago, but it scared me from using it ever since.
I am considering giving it another go, but was wondering if anyone else had noticed skin problems while using it? Maybe the problems were caused by something else I was using at the time?

Does it give you energy, like if I'm strugling, will it give me that extra pump to get three more reps out? I already have a third arm, so no worries on that

I have never heard that women should not take creatine, since women should train like men and lift heavy I always thought creatine would give us the same type of gains it would a man. That said I have read a lot about creatine mono compared to CEE and how mono will cause a lot more bloat. Something that we women do NOT want! I just purchased Controlled Labs Green Magnitude and hands down it is one of the best tasting supplements I have ever tried. I purchased the green apple flavor, but have heard many people say the lemonade flavor is even better. I just started using it last night and I definitely noticed I had more energy when I went to the gym. I was very tired but ended up having a really good workout. If you go the the supplement company promo section, CL is offering free samples of some of their products and Green Mag is one of them. Hope this helps you out!

I use Cellmass by BSN and I really like it. I actually look forward to it before my workout. I have had some great gains with creatine and no bloat that I notice.
I have not heard anything negative about women taking creatine as long as you don't overdose- much like anything else."Live. Laugh. Love. Repeat."

*NO* EXPLODE from BSN works great for me. I've seen large gains in my lifting. What's funny is the directions say to stir not shake it & I didn't get any results at first. I thought it was a dud, so did the hubby. But once I started shaking it up, wow what a change in results. Hubby thought I was nuts thinking that just shaking it up would make any difference. So he tried it - saw signficant results and now I'm fighting him for my *NO* explode."}

If dosed properly, CrM should not have a bloating effect.

I started using Creapure creatine mono and after the initial adjustment of the dose I have no bloating or any other problems.

I take CellMass and love it! Its CEE (Creatine Ester Ethyl) so it doesn't cause any bloats like some of the other creatines. I have also tried NoShotgun and like it too. The CellMass has a way better taste then the NoShotgun and mixes better though. Both are great, i believe they have helped me so i'm going to continue using them. It is recommended you cycle them (on and off every 4-6 weeks??).

I never got the bloating with regular creatine. I've always responded well to it. I tried CEE but swore off since I can't hardly mange to get it down. The bitter aftertaste is HORRIBLE! I was mixing it with just enough water to disolve then shooting it from a shot glass! LMAO Then I read several articles which didn't paint it in the greatest light and I quit taking it completely. I just ordered some green mag and will see how that goes.

I have taken CEE and Mono as well as a a preworkout products called Superpump by Gaspari and Greenmag by Controlled Labs. Superpump is my favorite as far as giving me the extra energy and push. I have also tried Green Mag, I can say that tastes the best but don't know much about results as I haven't taken it long enough to really judge. I personally saw the best results with mono, but the bloat was a problem for me but I cycle off after a few weeks and the bloat goes away. It is important to keep your goals in mind. CEE works well, but for me it takes a little longer to see the results -but less bloat.
It sounds like you might be under the idea that creatine produces energy and I am not sure that would be it's primary purpose, increased strength, to a degree. I would recommend doing more research to be sure you know exactly what effect you want -be it increased muscle mass, faster recovery, or a little extra energy/push during your workouts that way you don't end up with a cabinet full of suplements and still loking for the effect you desire. Read, read, read. No matter what though, I have found lifting is hard, and it is meant to be hard. Supplements help, but they don't make it easy.
I can also say Mono does make ME bloat a little in my belly and I believe it effects everyone differently. You could always try smaller doses, or stop if the bloat is more than you can handle for as long as you can stand it. I have heard that the belly bloat does go away for some.
Also, just a note: everyone has their experiences and opinions and a lot of the time when I seek information regarding supplements, workouts, diet, etc I find conflicting information. It is hard to sort out what will work for you and what will not. Sometimes it just boils down to lots of research and trial and error.
Just my .02 -
Good luck.
