and i am just about to start hitting the gym daily
I'll be honest, i am SCRONNY
By scronny i mean 5'9" 119 pounds scronny.
I was our leadoff hitter so i have alot of speed, but i just don't have that power to hit it as far as i want to.
If anyone has extra time, could someone please create a workout schedule for me if i could go 6 days a week?
And in case this matters, I also throw long toss 4 days a week...
thank you

Eat, Eat, And Eat. Then When You Get Sick, Eat Some More.
Ladies and gentlemen please, would you bring your attention to me, for a feast for your eyes to see, an explosion of catastrophe, like nothing you've ever seen before, watch closely as I open this door, your jaws will be on the floor, after this you'll be begging for more.

i play baseball and you need to be very careful there are many rules when weightlifting
some guidelines i follow from people i've met at the golf course my dad plays at (roger clemens, chris carpenter, and jeff bagwell mostly) say to keep these i mind.
for every chest exercise you do, do two back exercises
no over head presses of any kind
a ton of ab work
rotator cuff exercises/light weight shoulder exercises (jobes as mentioned above is great)
lunges are very functional
use dumbells more than barbells for chest becasue bb puts lots of stress on RC which u dont want, plus db's make your RC support the weight making them stronger
for arm strength....long toss x 1000
never do a power clean or any type of jerk but most people dont do those any way..
any way 6 days a week is too much IMO buttt you do what u want. i workout 4 days a week and then i have a tournament every weekend

mbrady, first off, what kind of training experience do you have? It is very difficult for anyone just to create a program for someone without knowing alot more about the person, their experience, and their goals. I have some basic programs for baseball players already created on my website. Feel free to check them out and ask if you have any questions. Keep in muind, they are basic programs and are meant to give a person a general idea of what direction to go when creating a training routine. Hope this helps!

bodybuilder230, use the forum search or even use the main website to look for "HIIT". Very good for both fat loss and baseball conditioning.

I agree with TrojanSC. And in most cases, people are losing weight because they are exercising and eating better, not because of the supplements. But a lot of people like to give credit to the supplements instead of their hard work and good habits!! Save your money and look into cleaning up your diet.
#1 thing to lose weight and feel better--> cut out as much sugar as possible from your diet. Start reading labels and see how much sugar is in the foods you are eating. Sugar prohibits fat loss and causes a lot of health problems. I weighed 184 and lost 14 pounds by cutting down on my sugar, and I wasn't even exercising! And I can tell you I was out of shape, but I wasn't fat! So......what's your diet like now? And be HONEST!

I have been trying to eat better for a few months. Honestly i do good then i have a slip up and lose all that hard work. I have been trying to eat more protein and eating salads and have been buying 100c calorie packs so wen i need a snack its not to much but my family tries to help but they dont think im eating enough because im not easting as much but mostly my diets the same except breakfast ill have a powerbarn and luch a salad and a 100 calorie pack. I know there not exactly great but it helps me eat less. Dinner i usually have whatever my mom makes which is normally chicken,steak,hamburgers,etc.. I just try to east less. I drink alot of water.. i just sometimes will have ice cream and i try not to snack much but it just happens.. So honestly i dont eat bad anymore.. Also i do 30 hours of landscaping a week so that keeps me from snacking for the hell of it..so im going to do the hiit in the morning.. then work 9-3 then i have baseball 3 times a week so im tryin to stay active and not sitting around
enough info?

Ok, you can find the interval program here. I usually have people start on Level 3, becuase levels 1 and 2 have more long distance running.

And here are 2 sprint programs for speed:

How about if overhead presses make my shoulders feel good, and I long toss further as a result of them? Am I still dumb as ****? Should I still do what the pros do (because everything they do is right, lol)? I'm pretty sure I will find a position player who does some form of overhead press out of season, unfortunately I don't really care what professional baseball players do because most of them are genetically gifted beyond what any of us have, ten-fold, so all we can do to try and overcome this is work hard and practice often. Please don't get me started about the "rules" of baseball conditioning. Most S&C coordinators in the MLB just happened to get the job because they toss the salad really well. Most players have personal trainers and philosophy from trainer to trainer will always vary, strength training will always differ as this is not an exact science. Therefore, there are no rules other than work hard or go home.

There are those on both sides of the overhead press philosophy. Believe me, I have had this discussion literally 100's of times. Personally, I would never recommend it for pitchers. For position players, we use to do heavy barbell presses. Now, we stick to DB presses, plus we do jerk presses and plenty of other shoulder work such as front raises, side raises, rear delt work and jobes. The shoulder and rotator cuff is an important area that has to be trained at all angles......

ok 1. im speaking from a pitchers standpoint and no pitcher does them
2. they may be blessed with baseball talent but not weightlifting genetics wtf?
3. there are many otherbetter way to get better shoulders for baseball ie raises and jobes
4. stfu about the s&c people not knowing what they're doing have u ever even talked to one? that was a retarded comment way to show your ignorance.
5. you may long toss further but in the long run your shoulders are more likely to be suspetable to injury
