Damn Dvv...
I made the mistake of showing this pic to a girl to show my goal b/f % for summer....suddenly she seemed to lose interest in anything i had to say....needless to say she 'approved' of your physique....nicely done
if thats relaxed, then dont flex, it might scare small children...Why, why do you fight Mr. Anderson?
....Because I chose to.
Check out this website I designed for Xanadu Jewelry: http://www.xanadu-jewels.com
Shop around, its an excellent company w/ great prices --Hint Hint buy your girlfriend's the gift of jewelry, and they'll be sure to return the favor ;)

For the love of God man. I'm 6 weeks out from my first competition, and my abs don't look anything like that aaaaaand quite frankly that makes me sad.... lol anyway, great job. Do you have any tips on ab workouts or what type of cardio you do? (I've been doing virtually everything for vary it up, but I'm going to be concentrating on HIIT for the next 6 weeks to try to lose this last little bit). Thanks. Later.

Great abdominals DVV..
Do you work out your obliques??? or is it just due to your extremely low bodyfat?
I can see the top four of my abdominals..but the bottom two are covered in an inch thick pouch of lard (when I'm sitting down)...I despise it.
that's ideally what I'd like to attain in regards to my waist area..
give up your secrets

Awesome job, Very inspirational. But I dont think there are too many tips you can really give, I think the main secret to your results are genetic. Im sure you had to put work in too, but some people dont put on body fat like others. My sister never works out and she showed me her bellybutton ring the other day and she had a six pack, and we all know how hard it is for a girl to have abs. Good luck with your bulk. Doesnt take anything away from your results, they are still awesome and give me something to strive for.
May sound a little gay but its easy work. My friend does it, you should be a greeter at an Abercrombie store at a mall. You just greet people when they come into a store with your shirt off. He gets lots of girls from it.Last edited by driven21m; 05-28-2004 at 04:58 PM.

thanx for the comments they are always extra motivating
as for my routine i workout 6 days a week, i try to do one body part each day to avoid over training
day1:
chest
day2:
calves/abs/forearms
day3:
upperback
day4:
misc muscles (rotator cuff, etc: this is an injury prevention
day5:
quads/hams/lowerback (i rotate backsquats and deadlifts so one week i will do deads then the next i will do backsquats, i always do front squats on this day though)
day6:
weak muscle day (aka whatever muscle is currently lagging in my body i redo on this day, currently it is my lats so i try and seperate real back day from this day as much as possible
day7:
sleep
I do cardio 3-5 times a week depending on my mood and current state (i work at a camp so chasing kids around all day really kicks the shiit outta ya lol)
I try and mix up my cardio best as possible, i used to mostly do distance running 4-12 miles but now I have been biking to my friends house and back and he is 9 miles away so thats 18 total biked miles and i have a dirt bike so its an extra workout (non of that street bike sissy stuff for me lol)
lastly i will run wind sprints and the dreaded quater mile sprints
i used to box but currently i am not so that was another form of cardio
i feel mixing it up keeps your body from evolving to a static state
as for diet, eh i really don't follow a specific diet, i try to eat as clean as possible when i am at home:
Turkey, steak, deli meats and whole wheats.....i eat a ton of fiber one and frosted shredded wheat and i drink skim atkins milk....also penut butter and suger free jelly sandwhichs on light whole wheat are a must....
for variety i eat alot of greek food, salads, gyros, salmon, etc.....i just watch the olive oil
but i cheat ALOT i usually try to time a cheat night before a cardio sesson so i just load up my glycogen, my personal favorite cheat is taco bell and cookies I am more of a hybrid athlete so carbs are very important to me to avoid muscle catabolism from doing so much phsyical activity.......I do my best to eat to my activity level for that day, ie if I am working out + cardio + work I really don't care how much i eat since I figure I will burn it all off.....If i decide to sleep until 4 and watch cartoons all day I won't eat nearly as much and I will try to eat cleaner
prob my biggest advice to EVERYONE is WALKING, I think it is the most underrated thing ever.....whenever I am working out and i am resting for a set I walk on the treadmil, I walk downtown, to my friends, just for the hell of it to go out and think......
as for supps I currently use:
Body Tech Whey
ON 100% Whey
Fish Oil
AST multy
I just ordered Nitrix and SAN Ox as my first stak ever so once I start my bulk I will be trying those for the first time ever
any other questions feel free to ask

Man, dvv. Your abs almost bring tears to my eyes. The definition and development you have is really beautiful. And I don't say that often about abdominals, and I like abdominals.
The showdown in 2 weeks is going to be awesome.
I'll take lots of pictures, and I'll put a poll on the thread.

i am not gonna say my results are somewhat genetic, but you can track my progression through bber.com over this year.....skip really motivated me to push myself beyond what i normally do and it pays off
thats what everyone should strive to be in my mind, the best that you possibly can be, i am not a huge guy, but i do keep bodyfat off well, so I embranced my strong points to build my body.....alotta guys on here have much better arms then me, thicker quads, better joints for torque, everyone has there strengths and weakness's you just gotta do the best you can

very imformative, thanks for taking the time to write all that. I am especially impressed with the 12 mile run. I just ran 4 miles in 40 min. I wasnt tired at all but man did my calves hurt when I was done. The pain doesnt start till you stop moving. But MAN, 12 miles...thats alot. Your training split is very unusual...I like that, but I got to admit I expected more out of your diet, but obviously it is working for you, so no dis intended. BTW, how old are you? And what are your plans for the future...job wise?
no prob bro, i built up to the 12 mile runs, over a period of about a year
i keep trying to change up my training split every 6 months or so keep the body guessing, yeah diet needs to be worked on its something to improve in the future though
i am currently 21 and I study bio-chemistry, so I am looking into the field of metabolism regulation, maybe one day i will be making your guys supplements

We've always been competitive regarding our abs, because aside from RonaldAsad, ShaneG85 and a few of my other buddies here who compete regularly, dvv has the most impressive abdominals I've seen.
Here's a link to my favorite "trash talking" tradeoff between dvv and myself:

There's no doubt about it though... he's definitely going to make this a difficult competition for me.
