It's pretty self explanatory. I would want the world record in the deadlift.

LOL. I knew I forgot something.

You could probably do it if you trained hard for it. I don't know anyone who goes all out for rotator cuff strength.

Why feet on the floor? You would have a better shot with feet on the bench, but this is all hypothetical, so why?

Bench has always been my strongest exercise, I like it the most. Then again I have not yet learned proper dead lift or cleans.

Start learning. Cleans are fun to do and deadlifts are great for overall strength. Cleans are much harder to learn and more dangerous when performed incorrectly. Deadlifts are relatively easy to learn.

Can't believe more aren't going for the c&j. It's a no brainer. If you have a world record in that your front and back squats are going to be elite, as are your bench and presses. That and you have the athletic carryover of world class explosiveness and cns efficiency (you know, what actually makes you money).

i think the clean a jerk is the best all around exercise for raw strength imho. something about picking up 600 pounds off the ground, squating atg and lifting it up, then pressing it overhead is gat damn amazing!

edit: and raw of course. no pansy lifting suits an knee wraps an $hit

atleast with bench you would have the ultimate answer to "How much you bench?" lol you could ALWAYS say "More than you"
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

glad to see someone else in my boat i mean aside from direct chest involvment, clean and jerk works the back, bis, legs, shoulders and tris. pretty much a complete body workout and explosive strength. hence why i would never mess with a 300 pound nfl lineman

Majority of weightlifting is about technique. Weightlifters only have strong legs. Weightlifting tests your speed strength, not your maximal strength.

Now when we have this crap out of the way we don't have to return to it again in this thread.

I agree. its the best combination of strength, technique, balance, stability and coordination imo.

Deadlift. Something about lifting more weight than anyone in the world can lift off the ground is appealing to me.

    Close-second is the squat.

In five years, I might say the clean and jerk.
