So, In your opinion, whats worse, Eating a Very Unhealty meal at a fast food joint for dinner, (double burger w/ cheese, and lg. fries), then going to bed, or going out to drink ~10-12 light beers and then going to bed?

i'd like to think that drinking is better than eating all of that fat and stuff, so my vote is that greesy fast food is worse than a night out on the town

Just my thoughts
im with heyzeus, both are bad options I guess as he said "where do you want the bullet"???
Beer is energy sapping and leaves you with a lot less energy for training the next day as well. Also the fast food, hell trashes any diet plans you may have had. It may be good at the time, ie the kebab/macca's or whatever at 3am is always good when your drunk and out with the boys. But think of the work it takes to remove that **** from your system
think of the pain you have to go through to remove those same calories, is it worth the taste of that sloppy macca's or that dodgey beer?
Just my thoughts......

I personally say the cheat meal is better. Like someone else has stated. You at least get some nutrients in. With alcohol, it's just empty carbs PLUS the fact that it hinders protein synthesis and puts fat loss to a halt for as long as it's in your body. For that period of time, your body is striving to get that poison out your system and then recover. As for crappy food, you can only store so much as fat at a time. But really, if you rarely do this, live a little and go for both. Make sure you enjoy it. Take longer sips and chew longer. Most of the time, I am supposed to be enjoying my cheats, I usually mindlessly chug or shovel the food down.
Knowing is not enough, you must apply. Do it.

beer then food you only live once, if you can turn 30 and look back at all the nights you didn't drink and be happy more power to you; I however realize we only get 1 go around at this whole life thing, and like the other 99.9% of you will not being paying my bills through my body, so I'm livin it up and drinkin it down.
plus im pretty confident alcohol causes a test rebounds; i've had some great lifts and PR's while semi-hungover"Live like a bad son of a bitch and let's play some ball"

My personal opinion? Beer on rest-day/cardio day, fast-food on lift day. Why? Calorically, you can't win either way, but at least fast food has nutrients like protein which can help you recover/grow. Alcohol, on the other hand, can be detrimental to growth and recovery. I usually work out early in the week and go out/drink only on the weekend. Otherwise, I tend to feel sore a day after drinking!

I'd drink the beer. Screw the fatty nasty food. Yeck. That would tear my stomach up, whereas the beer would taste oh so good, especially if it's cold and it's a hot day. And if I'm drinking alot one night, well I'm not weight training the next day. Cardio, maybe. But no weights.
Also, if you're drinking the beer, well then you are probably out with friends/family, enjoying time spent with them, watching a ball game, talking to women, etc etc.~I'm an egomaniac with a inferiority complex...

key here is moderation... 10-12 beers gonna be bad any time for all of its effects... a lil fast food if calories arent intense would be less of a problem. I have been limiting my drinking to once a week, and i'll stay under 6 drinks that night (if at a club) but if its somewhere else I'll try to just drink 2-3 (btw I weigh 215 so factor that in) Once I burn that day for the week, no more drinking. A few times a year I will get ripped but that is special occasions (new years eve/vacation)
I could care less about the calories, its the hormonal changes and recovery the alcohol ****s up...@__@
