Question How much saturated fat is too much?

Protien bars, take for example Zone Perfect bars, contains 7g Fat, 3g of which is saturated fat, along with 22g carbs, and 16g protien. Eat two of those bars a day and thats 6g saturated fat.

Have an EAS Myoplex Low Carb shake (6g fat, 9g carb, 50g protien) and theres another 2.5g of saturated fat. So now we're up to 8.5g saturated fat. Add a little cheese into your sandwitch and theres some more.

I know none would be best, but how much is too much? Would it be better to have a little everyday, or more every couple days?

The Percent Daily values say that 20g saturated fat is the most you should have. That sounds like way too much to me.

Does anyone know of any articles that explain what happens to saturated fat in your body??

    Thx

None wouldn't be best. From what I know, for a healthy person, saturated fat can be quite beneficial in moderation.
If they can make penicillin out of mouldy bread, maybe they can do something with you.

I forgot to mention what my current fitness goal is. I'm trying to get my BF% down to 10 - 12% from 17%. How much would cutting all saturated fats help me?

I already have a regular diet and workout program, and that's working well, however I'm looking for things to improve my progress.

Any articles on saturated fat would be appreciated.
