pitcher or position?
With hitting bat speed is everything, bat speed is generated from all the muscle groups from the bicep down to your hand. Power is generated from hips and legs. Use core exercises. If your a pitcher than i wouldnt reccomend u doing anything upper body for a while until you get the form correct. Pitching and throwing hard comes entirely from arm speed, you can lift all the weight in the world and never gain a mph on your fastball. Pitching revolves around mechanics, how hard you through is an indication of your mechanics.

Ive been a pitcher for a while i would say that the best thing that ever worked for me would to be legs legs legs a lot of piching is in your legs im not saying get them huge but u definatley need to get them strong. And for your upper body all i would do is just take like a 2 1/5 or 5 pound wieght and go through the throwing motion worked great for me
You are what you put into it

flexibility, flexibility, flexibility, and legs. Yes upper body is important but without strecthing you do not gain anything. you will probably only lose mph. like the man said, arm speed creates velocity. Scap loading creates arm speed, flexibility creates better scap loading. also build your mechanics up.... your accelerator muscles must be as strong as your decel muscles or you'll have arm problems.
