Did I make that chit up?
Was confiding in an associate who I generally respect about some nonsense which essentially involves respectable men choosing to give up their integrity for superficial things like money and the illusion of control. It absolutely involves exploitation of individuals, specifically those who are uneducated and dependent as a result of circumstances.
It led me to some fundamental philosophical ideology that almost everyone claims to subscribe to, but much less actually act on. I simply asked what happened to the golden rule? Jesus' message at its core, but even if you are not religious almost every philosophy we claim to subscribe to contains some form of it. I assumed this was a fundamental truth as a result of human empathy, and simply figured they would agree with me. They literally did not know the golden rule. I was metaphorically asking what happened to it, to a person who has not heard it. Bro, did I actually make it up?
****ing do to others as you would have others do to you. How the **** have we managed to **** up this one easy ****ing task? It is in our inherent nature but we have completely disregarded it, and then like a bunch of pussies, deflect personal accountability to imaginary ideas? Do unto others.... how the **** is that hard?
Serious question, have you exploited someone today? Used them and/or their live for your personal gain? If so why? What was so god damned important that you absolutely had to violate the easiest and most inherent universal rule? Like I am five and have an extra chromosome please.
I have been naive. Obviously.

honestly.. i think people are just dumb
it's hard to reason with dumbness
they act like they have guidelines, then you follow them, but then they break them and dont realize they broke them. that's just stupidity
because again their mental acuity didn't allow for it or for them to see it
and or hubris

This is exactly what the **** I am talking about. Deflecting personal accountability to some imaginary idea that you claim to have authority over you so it is out of your control or something, my brother in all that is good it is not life, it is you. It is me and it is us. We choose to do it to each other.

It comes down to sample size. Travel the world and spend a serious amount of time in different cultures and experience it for yourself.
I'm not saying the entire world is good, just that from personal experience the vast majority of people are good. Social media and singular experiences taint your vision.
Example, of all the people you encountered, say in the last week, how many took advantage of you? Look at a longer timeline like a year, how many then?
Lol also at anyone who looks solely at western society as a baseline as if it is a virtuous example to adhere to. Look at impoverished countries, ones where exploitation is the easiest and you'll see that those people who would be victims are actually the kindest.
If you look for evil, you will find it. But if you look for kindness it will show up when you least expect it.2022 Option Trading Realized Gains: $125,348 USD

Poland is like 96-98% catholic.
I've met a lot of selfish Poles. My GF's parents are catholic, go to church every Sunday and they are rarely altruistic, every gesture they do has some level of pride behind it.
I'm an atheist and I am probably more considerate than average just because I don't want to be a burden or I hope people will have some semblance of reciprocation.
My neighbours and flatmate are a frequent disturbance of my day. But this place is cheap and I'm supposed to be moving to Norway where my GF moved to for studies.
Suffice to say it wears on me, after months with this roommate and years with these neighbours I'm not a nice person to be around.
Every day is a guessing game of "when is my flatmate going to wake up? How many hours is he going to be on the phone? How loud will he put up the speakers on his TV? How many times is the upstairs dog going to bark or the baby going to cry? Will I have to tell these girls downstairs to STFU at 3am this weekend? Will the guy in the one next to them play loud music that can be heard in the whole building again?"
I've rolled a really bad dice with whom I've lived around. The worst thing is this building was new so they all gradually moved in over the years. So it's gone from great to bad to worse.Last edited by WhirlwindTobias; 03-24-2024 at 12:47 AM.
