If that is true, this is definitely something I can get behind. I'll have to check this series out.
Sometimes I just really like the lore and world building of a movie and want a sequel simply for that reason, but it doesn't have to be a continuation of the original protagonists story. It can be a completely different person in the past, or what they were doing while the main characters were saving the world on the other side of the planet or the results of the hero saving the world decades into the future.
Thats why, even though they're terrible movies, the Fantastic Beasts movies are a guilty pleasure of mine. They're not trying to drag Daniel Radcliff back into his role as Harry Potter, its just a separate series of events occuring in a different time period, and thats kinda...neat, and its fun to pick out little easter eggs here and there.

Yeah I wish that stupid fgt cuck will smith wouldn’t have slapped the funny man and I could finish watching the bright trilogy.

"Titanic 2: You Go Gurl"
After Jack dies for her, Rose sloots her way through the roaring twenties and Great Depression, monkey branching from one guy to the next, each of them believing she is the love of their lives. She finally settles for the ultimate beta provider, and gives him a life and children, all while fantasizing 24/7 about the guy she knew for 6 hours on a ship back in 1912

I would really like to see someone start over with the Halloween franchise and do it properly.
Let the original Halloween I and II stand as is, don't remake them. Then make a proper sequel stemming from there. Stick with the storyline the Michael Myers is trying to kill family members. The sequels can have him going after other members, doesn't have to be his sister, but the premise works that he's driven to eliminate his family. And from there just don't make them corny with a bunch of gore. The first two movies relied much more on suspense. They were low budget films and basically had to create an eerie feeling to the film. They turned the others into butcher films focusing on cool kills and terrible acting.
I also think there they need to totally try again with the Resident Evil movies. Even the first one of those was terrible so don't even bother with a sequel. Start from the very beginning and use the god damn scripts from the RE1 and RE2 video games to create a single movie since those timelines happened at the same time. The early video games have a better story than the movies. Movies totally botched it.
The storyline went to sh8t in the video games in later releases though so even the games ended up f*cking it all up.

I wanted to say Gladiator, but Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix really carried that movie. The announced sequel has some cool people in it still like Pedro Pascal,Denzel Washington, and a return of Dijmon Hounsou, but I'm skeptical.

Mornin'....
"Dredd" with Carl Urban was a remake or sequel depending how one looks at it.
I have a few I'd like to see a sequel to:
Blood And Bone (Micheal Jai White)
Falcon Rising (Micheal Jai White)
Polar (Mads Mikkelsen)
I think all (3) are on Netflix currently.
