leafs suck. this is the best thing many leafs fans have seen in two decades. this is like some incel getting laid for the first time in 20 years and then having the girl ghost him. it's still better than anything he's ever gotten in two decades
Sniff hard as fuk when guys pass by to smell their balls crew
Don't know how to hold arms when walking crew

Idk why people underestimate Florida. They were amazing last year. Have a better head coach and Matty T > Johnny H. Also the leafs are garbage in the playoffs. Shouldn’t have even beat Tampa. They were severely out played.
I don’t see this as an upset and I had Florida over Boston on my bracket. Again, Florida dominated towards the end and most of last year. Not much turnover…….Proof Angels exist: OzleyASMR

I think a lot of avid hockey fans, or people that don't really watch hockey, but tune into the playoffs see a #8 seed, and think they will immediately lose in the first round(I know I know Jets fit that narrative well this year lol) but I digress...Most of the time the team is coming in hot qualifying for the playoffs after going on a sick winning streak in the month of March into April.
I remember 2012 Kings did that, and won the cup after "Upsetting" the Canucks who were the President Trophy winners that year. Although, I will say Florida winning over Boston was pretty surprising, but not a huge shock. Boston were playing meaningless games the last 3 months, and just making sure to secure home ice throughout the whole playoffs. Blues did the same in 2019 they were last in the league around January, and made a run I think made it as a #8 seed or #7 seed, and won the cup also. I remember not wanting the Jets to face them in the first round, because Binnington was playing out of his mind in the run up to the playoffs.
I don't know how it is in other sports like NBA, and MLB etc, but I've never really thought in the NHL home ice is that big of an advantage. If you look at the last 10+ years a lot of teams secured the Stanley Cup as the away team.Last edited by ZeGermans94; 05-13-2023 at 08:18 PM.
