In the video, Phillip Webb can be seen in a waiting room. After Lawrence F. Gaillard, a patient advocate at the clinic, points his finger in Webb’s face, he grabs Webb and throws him against a wall, choking him with both hands. He then throws Webb to the ground and repeatedly kicks him in the head before leaving the room. The assault took place on April 28, 2022.
The initial charging document from the U.S. Attorney’s office in the northern district of Georgia notes that Webb was initially treated by a doctor at the clinic who observed several injuries including a large hematoma over his right eyebrow and a contusion on his elbow. Webb was later hospitalized for three days with a “brain bleed.” Webb was at the clinic for an appointment to discuss a hernia surgery. He told WSB-TV that he doesn’t remember much of the attack itself, but the incident began when he knocked on the door of the waiting room to tell Gaillard that he was going to use the restroom. Gaillard was later released after paying his bond following the initial charge.

I can't stand 90% of VA workers. They have the audacity to talk down at veterans and think they have some kind of authority. Last time I was there some f@gg0t had his feet up playing games on his phone, when I needed to talk to someone. Then he said I needed patience, to then I responded he needs to learn to have respect and not be a lazy b!tch. (Ded fkn Srs)

The beating was wrong, and way too far period. However I can tell from the video a buildup lead to that reaction, it didn't just happen suddenly.
Not excusing the assault, and there's no way ol'boy is escaping jail time, but the context should help piece together a story.
Is this the standard of care that's been set for US Veterans? Seems like some of these places need a staff overhaul.
I'm willing to bet there was a heated exchange before this happened. The old man put his hands in the dudes face then he lost it.
There was definitely tension before this happend."...Ain't No Love For You Here..."

There are protections in place that make it difficult to fire federal employees. I spent some time training at a VA and worked with some awesome people that really cared about the veterans and also some lazy pieces of chit. The good ones told me when the bad ones get in trouble they just get shuffled around to another unit or hospital.Only in America could you find a way to earn a healthy buck And still keep your attitude on self-destruct

Never hit an old man, when I was a little kid we respected our elders, this dude should know the old man was harmless what is he going to do? a punch from him wouldn't even bust a grape.
Dudes violent reaction was extreme, how the hell do people snap like that?
Ive dealt with grumpy elderly like this and never got angry or sensitive I just let them rant and get angry like that they are old and frail let them be, no need to to stomp on the mans head

I don't care what some 73 year old man says to me, I am not beating him up. I guess that is what knowledge comes from an education and a two parent household. Just LOL at low IQ people on here saying "I wonder what he said?" - Does it really matter? Let's catch an assault charge because some old guy disrespected me.

The guy slammed this frail old man to the wall and stomped on that old mans head too smh
its baffling how some people don't rationalize things. Something must be underdeveloped in their brain, like you see some guys continue stomping a guys head out cold, dont they know the guys brain is swelling and can die from it?
its weird, its clear the old man is a non threat, ive encountered many grumpy old men in customer service some even threatened me and I just tried to calm the old man down and laugh a bit it usually works if you let them yap and let them feel they are in the right and explain things
this guy doesn't seem to have patience, and snaps easy over little things.
