Unless your car runs 8s don't even bother. These things are running consistent 9.1-9.3. And it has a 200 top speed so you can't beat it up top anymore. So while you have to warm up your tires and modulate the gas, the cuck in the next lane over just has to hit the gas. On the streets? Don't even bother. This thing will be trolling everybody. I imagine Texas stands a chance where 1200hp is pretty standard.
I mean how hard is it to make 9 second car while still being daily drivable? You're talking extensive planning, parts, and tuning. Anyway ever since I got a speeding ticket I find high horse power to be pointless anyway. You can't use it anywhere and u less you're a professional drag racer, what's the point?

This thread brings up what I think to be a more important point that I have yet to hear anyone mention: that this sort of power is going to be readily available and in use amongst the general population, the vast majority of whom do not have the skill, experience or desire to operate a vehicle that readily demolishes hypercars.
Granted the S-Plaid is somewhat expensive and therefore less available, the cheaper Tesla variants are by no means slouches. Imagine a world coming very soon where four out of ten cars on the road are these EV juggernauts and half of those vehicles are going to be driven by arthritic old women or 16 year olds with zero driving experience.
When you factor in how fast these things go and how flammable they are, you are looking at a spike in road fatalities, but god forbid this ever happens.PubMed and Chiral Centers be Damned ~

It’s over boyo.
Electric cars are here and gas is going out like horses did. And EV is safer as well. With all the self driving and accident preventing computers coming online.
Time to move on boyo.
OR you can still play Polo hitting a ball with a stick from a horseback, nobody is stopping you. Just that the world has moved on.

Letting this slide is all intentional. The government has no intention of letting the general population all drive cars that do 0-60 in under 3 seconds but its getting people off ICE so for now, everything gets a pass.
Once critical mass is reached you will see sweeping mandates forcing over the air updates that limit maximum performance of EVs to only when their GPS indicates that they are at the track.
There is a reason that Musk is more or less immune to cancel culture, he is doing their dirty work for them. He will get canceled eventually, likely when the mandates come down.Eat in a deficit to lose weight.

Well, Thats like your opinion pal. Nothing stupid about a gasoline engines. Not all sound good, but a good V8, V10, and V12 melody is heaven. Even professional sound designers and engineers will agree, so I think there's merit of having sound over your stupid opinion
Besides, anybody that can afford an $80k car gives jack dhit about gas prices.

thats one of the reasons Tesla is focussing a lot on autopilot because they want average humans to drive less (most people hate daily driving anyway) and enough fun factor for the enthusiasts.
i used to worship cars like aston martin, bmw, porsche and still do but cars like BMW are becoming less and less relevant.
they could even add synthetic v10 sounds to tesla via a software update lol and then legacy ICE supercars will become like swiss watches...technology outdated but 'collectors' pride..less on the road, more in the vintage garage.F*ck Joe Biden

The thing about these EV's are they are expensive to build. When everyone is using resources the materials will get more expensive. When government grants dry up, the companies will start trying to make them cheaper to sell more of them, You're talking about these future cars will be closer to golf carts and the high end Tesla's we are seeing now.
Also, I just LOL when these idiots thing that just because it's electric it will be so reliable. Even predictions about how car ownership will be. You're trading one set of problems for another.

Honestly... that is extremely simple these days...
Go find you a 2015+ Mustang GT with a 6r80 or 10r80... fuel system... whipple... tires. You could drive that fkn thing across the country and back in comfort and click off 9 second passes on the reg.
Hell , I had a 2015 GT (6r80) set up for my wife with a 150 shot of Nitrous on it (tuned by Palm Beach Dyno) that would run 10.80's all night long and that car was completely stock otherwise.... down to the paper air filter.6'2" @ 247lbs

This. All they have to do is use MSM to create a mass panick for how "deadly" the teslas are with their "extreme" acceleration, the news can selectively choose to cover every single tesla/EV crash while ignoring the others and the politicians jump on board for the chance to appear as a savior to save us from this problem nobody knew existed.... then you have mandated software updates to force 8 second max 0-60 accelerations. They'll even get authoritarian cuck bonus points when they link it to energy savings and climate change.

Yeah this is already out there. The IEA's Net Zero by 2050 report is the only cohesive plan we have to achieving the climate goals all our countries have committed to, and switching to EVs by itself won't be enough. We need to actually reduce energy consumption over the long term, and part of that is limiting driving speeds to 100 km/hr and putting a greater emphasis on "eco driving" aka more gradual acceleration and gradual/regenerative braking.
I wouldn't be shocked at all to see this type of stuff roll out in future OTA updates

Absolutely.
You can also expect bans to come down for car shows and organized cruises due to "devastating impact on the environment". This will be an easy sell as these events are just for fun and involve cars with traditionally terrible fuel economy.
Much further down the road EVs will have this mandated in the actual GPS. Put in a destination to drive anywhere, no more "just go for a drive", you environment destroying heathens.
In the end they don't want us driving at all, it empowers people far too much. Scan your universal card to get on public transportation, this is the endgame.Eat in a deficit to lose weight.

Climate change is a real problem. And if one didn't go to CC or higher education, they wouldn't understand just how bad it is.
I think regulations should start first with producers, which is where most Co2 gits produced. After that, we coming for the gheys with their large suvs and trucks - that means no mo Denalis, RAM, F-150s, etc*Catholic Crew*

Your stupidity is showing, apparently you don't realize twitter does not actually qualify as education. The highly destructive processes of lithium mining, refining, manufacturing and disposing of the toxic batteries required for these electric cars is equal at best to gasoline powered vehicles without even considering the electricity required to actually fuel those earth killing batteries which despite what you want to believe isn't, and never will, come from wind and solar. You aren't saving the world, you're just an idiot that doesn't realize the push to shift America away from oil is because China doesn't have oil.

Unfortunately the people at the top pulling the strings absolutely do believe that humanity does not know what is best for itself and will inevitably destroy itself if we have too much freedom.
The tools are ultimately unimportant as the goal is to simply reshape the world into one where people cannot vote for their own destruction through their collective actions.
The real terror comes in when you ask the ultimate question: "If you truly believe that you are going to save billions of people, what actions are on the table? What actions are off the table?"
These people fancy themselves as "Thanos". They see their power as something that must be used to save everyone, even if at first everyone does not like their new world.
They spelled it out quite clearly in their infamous "You will own nothing and be happy." video. They have no intention of us driving EVs. EVs are just the tool to get us into cars that can control completely, and then we "...choose..." to stop driving.Eat in a deficit to lose weight.

Just hear me out for a sec. This is an important topic as it involves the entire world.
The world is basically warming up because of human activities. Left alone, earth wouldn't have some of the extreme weather conditions that is has today. That is why we are seeing more extremes in weather - more land slides, rain, flooding, areas that are dry becomes even drier etc.
Someone of this forum said it perfectly, its a problem that's hard to see today but has astronomical impacts in the future.
Co2 is released from cars and manufacturing. Co2 blocks the suns rays from leaving the earth, because when it hits stuff on the surface of the earth, it bounces back out to space, but Co2 blocks this process, thus making the planet warming.
It's a worthwhile investment to put efforts into conservation. Just think, the luxuries you enjoy today is a result of small investments made by those who came before you. You enjoy highways, buildings, factories today because someone thought of your future. You don't want to fk up the world for the upcoming generations who will have to endure the damages done by the current generations. Its messed up and not right.
Its not just extreme weather, but entire ecosystems can die as a result of this warming. You are talking about entire fish industries getting wiped out. And once that gets wiped out, you are talking about world panic and chaos.
I recently wrote a paper on this in Bio 101 and it was easy to write the paper in just a couple of hours because I understood the concepts. The other students had to take a much longer time because they didn't understand. And Ill prove it to you when the paper gets done graded.
True, conservation efforts shouldn't target the invidual and impose laws on them. It should start with manufacturers. But individuals do need to be highly informed, for they enable manufacturers, since it is based on supply and demand for a product. Individuals must support manufacturers for when they take conservational efforts, and again the only way to do that is to be educated and informed.*Catholic Crew*
