Is Brady legacy negatively impacted if he loses another super bowl

People on this site want to use this argument against Lebron so shouldn’t Brady get the same treatment? especially when he will clearly lose to Mahomes in two weeks.

Lebron joins Super Teams so he better win. Brady joined a Bucs team that hasn't been in the playoff since 2007.

And the team is currently an all-star cast. He isn't the only player that joined in the off season...

The obvious answer is no-- if Brady plays well but his team is outmatched against KC, then it should have no impact on his reputation/legacy. If he lays an egg, maybe.

When Lebron joined the Lakers, they missed the playoffs. So they added Anthony Davis and won a ring.

When Tom Brady joined the Bucs, they immediately go to a Super Bowl. They don't need to anything else. Just the GOAT of GOATs (only Michael Jordan and Babe Ruth compare IMO).

Brady is just lucky he didn't play in the NFC those years... he wouldn't even made the SB if he ran into good teams prior to the big game.

This. OP must be from the sammyfatkins school of thought.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

    Am I wrong?

Are you really comparing Tom Brady going to the Bucs to bringing Anthony Davis in?

The Bucs have the lowest winning percentage (.387) of ANY professional sports team in ALL four major North American leagues..... and only reason it's no lower was because of that 1997-2007 run. What Tom Brady is doing is a miracle.

Mahomes is overrated, Brady could beat him even with a fully inflated ball and it isn't even close

To be fair, the first 3 SBs he was absolutely carried to. Much like Manning in his last SB. He was awful against seattle in the SB but won. The patriots needed the perfect combination of 0 points allowed by the defense and TDs on all of their drives in the second half against the falcons and got it (brady did his part, few defenses would have ever been able to do their part). He did play reasonably well against the rams.

Only a few of those SB victories were due to elite play by Brady. Even recently, he disappeared for entire halves.

I remember a year when Brady's entire quest to the SB was beating backup QBs on garbage teams. The AFC use to be good, but that was a LONG time ago. The last 5-7 years, the AFC has been trash. The chiefs finally made it competitive last year.

Brady won 2 MVPs in those 3 Super Bowls. The Panthers SB definitely wasn't "carried." The Rams Super Bowl, perhaps. Not the Eagles Super Bowl either.

I think a bigger criticism of Brady's SB performances is that out of 6 wins, he's only had a double-digit win in 1 (second Rams SB).

    Try sgain.
The ultimate litmus test would be to put Brady on the packers and see if he has more success than Rodgers. He'd be working with less offensive and defensive talent, and he would need to put up 30+ most games to have a chance. Margin of error is almost nil.

“Anybody can do it on the pats”

“Brady played in an easy division”

    “Brady has the GOAT coach”

Will the hater excuses ever stop?

Now it’s “but I bet he can’t do it on the Packers”

Honestly, you lot are getting sadder and sadder.

Aaron Rodgers is a let down and Brady just sent him to 1-4 land in NFC Championship games.

    Embrace it.

If Brady was on the Packers the last 10 years he'd have 4+ Super Bowl wins.

Packers fans: Rodgers receives almost no help.

Reality: Defense is average in terms of PPG (15th) and above average in yards per game (7th).
Offense: 2x All Pro O-linemen, All-Pro WR, Above Average TE, Probowl caliber RB

    But, what about SysTom?

If I recall, my Patriots were 17 point underdogs in 2002 to the Greatest Show on Turf.

    Legacy is cemented.

The only reason cry baby tommy joined the Bucs is so he could make it to the superbowl cause there is not another afc team making the superbowl for at least 10 years. Chiefs dynasty is here to stay and they are even better than the pats with a better QB (best all time) and they don't even need to cheat.

Brady beat the Chiefs in the 2018 playoffs 37-31.

With a cheating team and coach. It's Mahomes time now. Brady can go to the nursing home and watch a real goat play. Mahomes is now prime time and ready. No one is stopping this team for a very long time.

Pat Mahomes is phenomenal. What stops a team are injuries. No one has been hurt. They're going to be very good, but everyone is one hit to being done forever.

    Stop being a yahoo.

When Mahomes has been to 10 Super Bowls, and been to 14 championship games in 19 season as a starter, then you can flap your gums.

Pats beat them fair and square in 2019.
