Look how happy people were then. All of this was in 2012 ( the call me maybe video was uploaded Jan 2013, but filmed 2012)
Was 2012 the last year people were truly happy and having authentic fun?
Look at videos below - no one has this much fun anymore. No positivity like this has existed for awhile.
(if you got a crowd this big now it'd be for a BLM protest only)
Edit..like to point out how hot Nikki Minaj was then too...but look how happy everyone is...would never see this in 2020
Look at this crowd!
Seems like everything became so much more socially divided since then. Last year before Tinder, Instagram, full out smart phone usage by society. Democratic agenda became much more woke after 2012. Suddenly open borders were a thing being rationally argued for. Many millenials started to get very jaded around then too as their careers were stalling from starting in a massive global financial crisis. I remember being really happy in 2012 and everything since has seemed so serious.
What happened after 2012? 100% serious. Didn't something with the CERN Hadron Collider happen in 2012 (please confirm EOD). Was it Obama's reelection? Please help me misc.

Idk i've been talking to people about this and researching it for years but can't figure it out. I think 2011 was the last normal year or whatever, 2012 felt different for sure, and then after that it's like things have been completely different and changing rapidly ever since. The music was so peaceful in 2011. I remember these songs and the EDM and EDM influenced pop music topping the charts. People still had flip phones.
If that Call Me Maybe song doesn't give you major nostalgia compared to what is released now i don't know what to say. These were happy vibes. I don't even remember meeting a depressed/angry person back then either. Everyone was happy af.PC specs

I mean the brain finishes developing around 25 so that could be part of it but the thing is for me the world still looks the same but the culture, people, interactions etc are all different. Even my family is much different now (angry and depressed and leave open food piled up in the basement). I know people our age who don't even know who Joe Rogan or Offspring is. I notice people don't connect like they used to. The majority of people seem angry, depressed or in a rush. All this stuff i just noticed around 2013-2015 and i don't get it.
Me and another guy on Reddit talk about this a lot how people are much different now like they will just ramble on and don't pick up on social cues and stuff and i don't remember this autism, lack of awareness, lack of connection between people back then. That's why i just say everything changed because to me it just isn't the same world as pre 2012-2013.
We are in Age of Aquarius too, which could be why everyone is so woke and different now. It's supposed to bring out the realization of our true self. AKA woke. Could also explain why people are more self absorbed and unfriendly now than before, because they are realizing more things about themselves and what they really want in life.PC specs

Yeah I was with my ex then. Remember all these legendary moments. Been separated for awhile and life as sucked chit. Can't even listen to 2010-2013 music, because it reminds me of those awesome moments. The world is just ass. I mean, it was decent from 2016 to 2017. After that it's utter chit.

It seems like timelines merged to me. The people i interact with on a daily basis are not the same people i grew up knowing/hanging out with or talking to. Like i said even my GF, parents and all of my coworkers are just different types of people than i used to know. I swear so many people our age and younger have autism too. Things just aren't the same as 2012 man. There is a totally different aura/energy going on now.

It’s the ultimate gaslighting narrative
In real tea it’s mostly millennials who experienced a paradigm shift of having to leave school, apply for jobs and realize that in fact not everyone wins a trophy despite getting a degree and being told all their lives they were special
But yes I do remember chit like lluminati conspiracies ramping way up around then. But EOD himself started moving the goal posts saying it might have actually changed in 2016. It’s a baseless theory, but worthwhile cope for anyone with existential delusions

Not true at all for me. My time in college and pre 2012 was much harder and I had a lot more stressful things happen to me. I was lucky to get a great high paying job with zero student loan debt by 2012....have been a VERY successful millennial with nothing really to worry about.
But the entire world I live in seems different. The conversations, the movies, the energy etc. I can't really describe it. I've thought it for years, and then saw EOD and the Misc posting about it a lot here, and it was like finding a new religion or something (srs). I didn't know others were having the same specific thoughts I was. We both reached the same conclusions independently.
