In Aus, it's a 14 week course consisting of 8 hours a day theory and practical

that's about 118-120 hours all up not including any extra added work and presentations\

ontop of that, you also need a first aid certificate and an RSA/RCG

Depends which venue you're being sent at

If you're a mobile guard then sitting down will be the last thing you're doing especially if your general duties are crowd controller

I had separate courses for the RSA/First Aid so I had to come in on different days for them

Still looking at like 110-113 hours just on the whole course alone and this guys bitching about 40 hours

However, in order to complete the whole course, meaning the second as well, I had to do 3 weekends for free, working to learn with already experienced guys in clubs. Never finished it
