So I’m working out in the basement trying to get my scrawny ass some muscle and I’m about to start bench pressing. My wife comes down to check on me, so I throw a full plate on each end, which I have done in the past but not recently. I unrack it and lower it to until it barely touches my chest, actually feeling very good and in control and confident. I engage my core, drive my feet into the floor, and push up as hard as I can... and the bar doesn’t ****ing move! Right in front of my wife who is way better looking than I will ever be...

I did that, but with 245 and 2 high school Thai girls helped me get it up. The barbell, I meanOnce upon a time (maxes 2020) ...

bro did you at least have a brotein shake RIGHT after? If it was after the 30 minutes from the second your wife reracked the bar then you lost the magic window of the shake and your whey was rendered useless.
Next time try to impress your wife on the abductor/adductor. I think you can get one on sale.East Coast Mecca
