Hey boys and girls!!
Remember when I posted a year ago and mentioned I was morbidly obese and literally was on the verge of losing everything in my life and maybe my life, well I kicked my ass into gear and being almost 40 years old doesn't help lol but I have lost 120lbs and put on about 25lbs of muscle, did not use ANY GEAR, NOTHING other than BCAA's and zero stim pre workout and I lost track of myself many times over the last year and half and regained some weight etc but I am at a point now where if I lose another 15lbs which I will, I will have a very nice physique for myself Minus some lose skin, so what do you guys think of my 1.5 year transformation? Don't mind all the crazy body hair haha that will go soon....this goes to prove, doesn't matter how old you are, if you want it bad enough, you can do it!! This is just the beginning, once I lose the rest of the 15lbs I'm going to start bulking up, my goal for next Summer is 185lbs at 11% body fat...I'm currently 183lbs from basically almost 300lbs!!!
Tell me what you think!

Repped
I always see the threads about asking for help saying I am going to the gym x amount of hours a day, eating x strict diet for the last 1-4 weeks what else can I do.
Clearly you listened and made an amazing change. What life style changes did you make? Diet/work out routine? How has your personal life changed? How is your health now compared to when you started?

Wow! I remember when you posted those “before” pics. I have to admit I thought, “this guy is way to far gone”. Now look at you! That is one incredible transformation and example of perseverance, dedication, and effort.
99 guys out of 100 come on here like you did, and TALK about changing themselves, and then do nothing or give up. It’s so nice to know all the advice and comrodery isn’t wasted.
You have a lot to be proud of!

I think you're a 'One-Percenter,' someone who actually made a serious transformation, and then returned to display it; that's quite rare here. The vast majority of people in your former condition post their story, what they're "going to do," and then disappear forever; we never hear another word from any of these 'one-post wonders.'
Good work. Keep going. No brain, no gain.

Awesome! You have some big arms bro! Congratulations and keep it up!
Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. It feeds the mind as much (and sometimes more so) than the body.

Wow guys - I'm speechless, I log on and I see all these messages of praise....I won't lie reading all of this put such a big smile on my face, and maybe some tears because you guys have no clue what I went through.....if you go through my history when I posted my pics from my 20's I had great physique, great life of a single young man, then I might the love my life and at that point who cared about abs right? The girl clearly loves you, she's beautiful, what else do I need? So I ate, and ate.....and ATE....170lbs became 180, 180 became 190...190 became 210....until one day I looked down, my beautiful daughter was born and I missed her birth because I was too tired to sit in the hospital because I was pushing 300lbs.....my muscles in my body hurt, my face had rashes, I had rapid heart rate, in and out of hospitals for panic attacks, high blood pressure...I had to hold the stairs to walk up and down....do you know what it feels like to not be able to cut your own toenails? To tie shoelaces? To hold your baby? To run with your kids? Do you know what if feels like to be the "fat husband" at every event with your wife? Even then I kept eating though, until I started to get really sick....and when I went to my doctor he basically told me, he said you took the amazing genetics you were born with of phenominal blood pressure, an extremely healthy heart and body and have put yourself at the cusp of death, he basically said your are dying and will not make it past 50.....that's when I went home and looked at my daughter Victoria and realized I want to walk her down the aisle, and who the hell is gonna kick the **** outta the guys that may break her heart??? And one morning I woke up, pulled my old tool belt out, my old gloves out, bought a bowflex treadclimber and slowly slowly starting with 10 minutes every morning fasted cardio I started....the first few months were brutal, I hated waking up in the morning and doing cardio, ugh....just wanted to sleeeeeeeep, that's what happens when you're fat lol sleep becomes ur best friend because your body is just a lard of ****....but three months in and I broke and cracked and stopped because I was pressuring myself too much into this DIET, every morning fasted cardio...every evening working out...and eating CRAPPY boring chicken breast......so I gave up for a bit and that's when I met my trainer and he changed my life, he's a pro bodybuilder that told me stop dieting, CHANGE UR ****ING LIFESTYLE, you don't need a diet, just change ur entire perpective on life, and so I did....I woke up and still did my 30 minutes of fasted cardio, but I ate a decently tasty breakfast, and a nice lunch and dinner and then went and killed it at the gym every night....monday to friday....all I changed was I COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COLD TURKEY stopped simple carbs, breads, sugars, chocolate, soda, but ate fat and protein and chicken and sauces till my hearts content, but even then just cut my portions in half....overtime I set a goal to lose 2.5lbs per week and everytime I saw it I became more and more motivated...so 300 became 295, became 290...became 285 so I got addicted to seeing that scale get lower and lower Today working out is such a massive part of my life, that I cannot function if I don't do my 30 minute fasted cardio, if I don't do my resistence training at night I can't even sleep, it's now a part of my life....I love the gym...I've lose 120lbs and put on 25lbs of muscle naturally...I'm almost 40...I went from the fat dad at the party to 99 percent of the time the dad with the most muscular body at the party, went from 48 jeans to 32 jeans....even my pics don't do it justice because my lose skin but I have a lot of muscle now...I have now INCREASED my calories to bulk up with muscle, my goal is to compete next year I want to get on stage at 185....from almost dead to qualifying for the nationals in under 2.4 years is my goal....all you need is a REASON, my reason was my daughter and my wife.....I hope you can all find the reason to do this as well!! The journey for me has just begun....

If you click on the scale icon (or a star on the phone app) underneath the green bar, under your name and pic, it will show you all the “rep” reputation you got on a post (or you click on it to give other posters reps). Green is possitive, red is negative. That green line and the corresponding number shows how much you have accumulated(it takes a while to get on the board). The higher the reputation on the user giving you reps, the bigger the number (1 rep point for every 1,000 the user has for possitive reps).
