This past week I was on the bench press trying to hit a new high for myself and 2 reps in that bar came down right on my chest and rolled onto my neck. I had to fail like a fosh to get it back onto my chest so i could roll it off.
I left after that. Too embarrassed to stay.***MUSCLETECH Supporter***

Not entering but I wanted to share my fail story.
On my very first year lifting back in 2004/2005 I was a senior in high school, recently graduated. I was doing the ezbar curls right in front of the bench. I was done with my set and it was heavy, I put the bar down on the bench and my finger got caught under the bar and the bench. I didn't feel any pain or anything but I lifted up for a bit and pulled my hand out.
I started walking upstairs(gym is in the basement) and I heard a "holy sh|t" I turned around and everyone in the basement staring at me. I thought people were amazed about my curls but then I saw someone point to the bench and I saw blood. I looked down and I see blood everywhere, on the floor, on some equipment, the stairs, the wall and then I look down at my hand and blood is squirting everywhere. I had this dumb look on my face and I heard the owner upstairs cry out "WTF!!!?!?" He rushed down pulling his shirt off and wrapping around my hand.
I'm just standing there surprised and not really doing anything as I was still surprised at what was going on lol. The owner is pushing me up the stairs, I hear my friends walking up the stairs laughing. The owner is pushing me into the bathroom, he pulls the shirts off my hand and still my hand under the running water. He is putting soap on my hands and telling me to scrub them clean. So I'm washing and scrubbing and I take a look at my finger and there is this big ass cut on my finger. The owner comes back with some bandages and wrapping cloth.
He put all that on and told me I would need stitches, that I had to go to the doctor, I went to work and next day I was back in the gym and working out legs. The owner saw me come in and said "WTF? Why you here?" and I told him I had to workout legs, that today was leg day. He shakes his head and goes "how many stitches?" I told him none, didn't go to a doctor because I didn't have insurance. He shakes his head again and goes "don't bleed all over my gym again, or you will clean it up next time." I was trying not to laugh and all I told him was, "sorry". He shook his head and turned back to the pumping iron on tv.
I still have the scar on my finger from it, I can actually feel it if I run my finger over it. It's pretty big too, about 3/4 of an inch. It healed on its own.Army Veteran, OEF.

Mine isn't from a gym since this was back from when I worked out at home in high school. I used to have a small bench setup on my back patio before I purchased a rack and had a pretty nice setup in the garage (much to the dismay of my parents who now had to park their cars outside). The arms on the bench could adjust high enough to where I could use them for squats. I would keep the spare weights in the area where I would squat to keep from taking up too much space, but when I squat I would just move them enough to where there's a small opening for my feet. Well one time I was off balance a bit and took a step back and stepped on the plates. I promptly lost my balance completely and wiped out, narrowly missing putting the bar through the back door glass. There were people over at the time so they, along with my parents, come outside to see what that loud thud was and find me just sitting there in shame with weights thrown everywhere. I suppose 5 people is less shame than a gym full of people though.

In for support.
I was pretty tired and it was my last set of squats. I usually squat deep buy I tried cutting depth on the last rep and ended up half squatting it. I lose my balance and try to rerack it but almost missed the j hook on one side.
Have a video too

In. This is after about 6 months of going to the gym trying to get 205 I think, about 2 and half years ago
I saw this brah in the gym every single day and was lucky he was there. After that day, only ever saw him 3 more times, super jacked looking, then saw him at the movies DYEL status, and one final time back to pretty much the original.

I wish I still had footage of this happening but unfortunately don't but I'll explain briefly below.
Before I use to have a home gym. On one of my bench days I pushed for one more rep when I know I shouldn't of. Well my dumb ass had the safeties set too low so when I went to press and couldn't get it the weight came down on me and pinned me.
I had my garage door open since it was during the summer. So here I am pinned under the barbell and I start yelling for my wife's help from the garage. "Diana come help me". I'm yelling this over and over and notice cars passing by just looking.
My wife some how hears me and comes flying through the door. It literally seemed like it was forever but it was only a couple seconds. She B lines right to the power rack where I'm at and helps me get the barbell off of me. I look at her and tell her "what took so long" lol and proceed to continue with my training. My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

my best (or worst) gym fail involves me and the family cat.
i primarily work out at home in the garage. one of the things i like about a home gym is that i dont have to pay attention to what others are doing and i can just do as i please. when im out there doing my thing, the music is blasting and im oblivious to my surroundings. so anyways, a couple years ago im doing some dumbbell training and adding and subtracting weight plates as i go.
at this time the cat was just out of the kitten stage but still curious, playful and fearless. she would hang out in the garage with me and get into whatever trouble she could while crawling in and around things. so, im lying on the bench changing some small 2.5 lb plates and i drop them on the floor like i always do...except this time the cat lets out a blood curdling howl and takes off running. i tracked it down and got her to come out of hiding and found that i had dropped the weight rite on its tail!
one look told me that the tail was broken and i immediately took the cat to vet to see what could be done. he said i could pay for x-rays and that he could immobilize and wrap it up or i could just save the money, leave it alone and that the cat would be fine....just a crooked tail. naturally, i took the 2nd option.
im glad i saved the money cuz the cat disappeared soon after. but ill never live down this 'fail' with my family as im still constantly reminded of it.
the poor kittys tail looked something like this after our little encounter.... lol
thanks for the generous promo, ive heard alot of good things about Vapor X5 and would love to review it!MuscleTech Supporter

First time seeing this one....that wasnt even close.
Yeah buddy!! Im trying to find mine like this. I was backing out (on a routine lift) and for some damn reason, my left knee buckled. To this day have no clue WTF happened. As it buckled, i was fortunate enough to lean forward and ram the load onto the hooks. I laughed, my boys laughed.....shrugged it off and went back in...no issues whatsoever. The whole thing was just "Huh"?
This is prolly one of th emost common gym fails. I'll admit, back in my earlier days...I've done it. Luckily i was able to roll the weights off. Live and learn. I learned very quickly to ASK for a spot...or not even attempt it if i had doubts.
Ronnies is a classic by now
Put your story in anyway......what ya? Afraid
Lol...love how he got up and screamed as if he nailed it! Lucky he didnt break his back!
Yeah, them home gyms are nice...but sometimes....well, its nice to have someone around...lol🌍 Talk is cheap, Actions are priceless 🌝

Support entry!
Biggest gym fail was when I first started doing sport specific training in high school. Had this treadmill at the facility I trained at that went super fast. Coach was having us basically "jump on it" while it was running and matching the speed. Two guys in front of me hopped on with no problem.
My turn?
Face went right into the track and it spit me out like a rag doll.
Have fun guys!iForce Blueberry Muffin: forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169778043

Gonna add mine since my boy wants to know lol
I was doing 5/3/1 at the time and it was my deadlift day. I go to the gym and all the deadlift areas where taken. So I do a complete back workout almost a hour and not one station opened up. So I said I guess tomorrow I’ll get it in. Went back the next day and it is my squat day but decided to do dead’s first. I do the usual warmup 215x10 then 315x10. Then I get into my working sets and pulled 565 for 1. Dropped back down to around 400 to finish my set. Since that only took a half a hour I was like ok I’ll start squats. Start with my warmup set at 135 and usually do 10-15 to get me going. I unrack the 135 and take a step back. Go down and I can’t get back up lol. My legs where destroyed from the dead’s and I’m just stuck there for a second till I fall backwards. Luckily the bar stopped on the cage and I just sat down on the floor laughing like a idiot.
I put the weights away and just feel everyone looking at me - do some abs and left
