Sometimes my dinner won't be until after 9:30 PM because of when I finish at the gym or aerial class. Doesn't make a difference. My personal preference is to not go to the gym or classes with a full stomach because it may negatively impact my workouts (don't want to vomit), so I'll have something before hand but not much.

I play 1 hour of a team sport at various times in the evening.
Early (start between 6-7:30) - eat smallish before (at work) and after (at home). So maybe a few tbsp veg cous cous/a cold veggie sausage/pot of Greek yogurt about 2 hours before, then bowl of muesli or scrambled eggs after.
Late (start between 8-9:30) - I'll eat a proper dinner at work around 6:30.
I don't mind eating late. Last night was 9:45. Makes no difference to total intake.
