Yeah I wouldn't count it unless you really need to to boost your ego, or show off to some hotty.... hehe.
How much is a lot on Leg Press anyways? Last time I tried it I was doing over 400x10, after 3 squats and 3 deads, but thats probably pretty weak I'm sure, I've heard some crazy numbers being put up.

On my leg press I defintly count the platform. As itself weights 125LBS. Some girls can't lift the platform by itself.
But like the bench.....I feel the leg press is more of an ego lifting type thing..The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and hear all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds. ~Henry Rollins

One disadvantage of leg presses is that it's hard to set any standards as to what's a decent amount of weight. Different types of leg presses have different degrees of difficulty, and the effort it takes to push a given weight can vary greatly depending on the ROM used. A few months ago, I saw a man at the gym doing 990 pounds (11 plates per side) on a 45-degree press, but his ROM wasn't more than about six inches.

I only use the leg press to finish, though I, too, think it's an underrated exercise. After squats and either hacks or one-leg squats on the smith, I finish off on the leg press. Like the others I think counting the platform weight is a bonus to the psych, but should be counted. The one at my gym weighs in at 105 lbs. With a weight like that you have to count it in: it pushes my working weight to around 750 x 8 and will fry my quads in the end.
However going heavy in the end at full ROM has a tendency to make you hurl."...Psssst... It's clobberin' time." -- The Thing

I use leg press after squats and like it. The leg press I use is one of those 45-degree jobs with two barbells and a big ass sled. I am sure the sled by itself weighs in the 100-150lb range, however I just say what I put on the press because I am just working out with it and don't need to know the total weight.
