In my opinion MMA is the most difficult because you gotta have both high level of kickboxing and wresting in order to succeed, lets not forget high cardio, physical and mental strength. Now take all that, give those attributes to every single fighter on the roster and only the very best one can be the champ.

Rugby requires the physicality of football but the quick thinking and strategy of soccer. The other immediate contender requiring a high level of skill with athleticism is hockey. Basketball and tennis COULD be up there i guess but without the looming fear of getting knocked into next week.

maybe, but there are people with similar stats what couldn't make it past college. basketball is much easier and forgiving on the body. smart move to go that direction.

Most Difficult? Hockey or Golf.

Most Athleticism? Football/Basketball.

Surfing is hardest I think. Most sports a lot has to do with your God given athleticism and height. Not in surfing. Takes a lot of time and perseverance to get really good. And going nearly everyday cause if you don't you'll lose gains or at least never progress past a certain point.

Basketball is also up there. I try so hard to be black and 6'8" but it's tough. I got close once but eventually gave up.

In terms of skill and difficulty to master, it's golf simply because you are competing against yourself and there really isn't a "perfect game".

In terms of difficulty based on athleticism, it's American football. Those guys are beasts

What I'm saying is that an NBA player could have gone any other route in sports earlier in life and would have had an easier time than any other types of athletes. Obviously some sports can never be transitioned to because it's too late in life to learn those skills.
