    Used to lift for women.

    Now it's about staying healthy, and living a well balanced life. I like to hit the gym 3-4 times a week to lift. I feel better overall when I lift. Even though I feel tired immediately after working out when the PWO wears off, I find my overall aggression/drive in life is higher when I'm regular with the gym. Plus I feel better mentally. And looking decent doesn't hurt. Prior to lifting I looked goofy as I'm tall but lacked shoulders, back and arms.

    I won't ever quit. Also gives me an excuse to reflect on the day while I'm there, and check out new music on the mp3 player.

    I would also like to add the confidence factor, when you have the body of he-man, you have that confidence that 1, you can most likely kick most people's ass, and 2, you look better than most guys therefore females may appreciate your body, and 3, the feeling that you do it for yourself, because you enjoy it, it's a self-empowering feeling

    I started lifting for sports when I was 14, fell in love with lifting. It is a great hobby and I'm pretty cerebral it is one of the only times my brain is quiet. Lifting heavy and setting new personal records is pretty exciting. The more muscle you have the more you can eat without getting fat.

    It's also an excellent release of aggression. I honestly almost never get mad and if I do get mad I'm over it quick.. probably because I don't have it all pent up, lifting is a release from whatever might bug you.

    Last thing - serotonin. The feel good chemical you get from sex, drugs, sugar or fatty food.. you get it from lifting in big doses.

    couldn't lift a TV or certain things on my own always been ripped with abs but wanted to be stronger. Now just for health maintain my muscle/testosterone as best as I can as it's only down hill from here. Also feels good to work out, throw on some music and just 30-45 minutes of lifting weights, sometimes go for an hour.
