So basically, I just started doing ab workouts. But I am afraid of increasing my waist size. If I just so body weight ab excersises without any weights, I won't increase waist size right? You only increase waist size if you do weighted ab workouts. Please let me know. Thanks. And by body weight ab excersises I mean like (crunches, leg raises, sit ups, leg lifts, sit up twist and turn, the twist( putting a broom or any long object on your shoulders and twisting side to side without moving your hips) etc.

most importantly, abs are only visible when lean enough- fat burning = nutrition needs to be on point, you cant outwork poor nutrition.
given a low enough bodyfat %
you can train abdominals with resistance
waste size is mostly bone structure cant be adjusted
there are genetic extended stomach- where even very lean guys have a pot belly- see chuck lidell images
pro bodybuilders who are older and compete in untested shows- not sure what exactly it is but likely something to do with a unnatural product and its response with age (younger competitors are less likely to show).
Very large abdominal- most likely do to a unnatural product.Oct 2013- 4th Place Novice, 5th place Open NPC NY Grand Prix
May 2015- 2nd Place Musclemania New England
