i feel like im developing muscle on obliques doing side bends, but i feel like its more of a love handle issue, since it looks like its expanding it will look like love handles.
any other good obliques abs to do?

Nah, I used to but I personally find it a waste of time. I feel it in my obliques just fine when I do squats or when I do rack pulls with earth-splitting weight.
I really don't isolate or do core-specific exercises anymore. My midsection develops perfectly well by doing heavy compounds7 foot tall crew checking in
