I have a lack of motivation to properly count my calories, log and get to the end of this weight loss the way I set out to originally.
For the next 30 days I will log on here again with a calorie goal of 1600.

I tried a high protein thing to try and gain muscle while I was losing weight and completely lost motivation so I'm back to my old method which lost me 30 pounds on a previous thread.
I keep it basic and eat whatever I feel with a couple basic rules: get extra protein on days I work out and while recovering, if my mood starts to dip make sure I'm consuming enough fats to keep my hormones balanced.
I weigh everything I'm eating that needs weighing. My diet varies quite widely, some days I will eat brown rice with veggies and bacon or some variation, worst days it's pre-packaged sandwiches, chips and breakfast bars. Lately I've been getting into cooking and made some stuff like scallion pancakes which were quite nice.
No sugary drinks but I'm drinking diet coke like it's water lately. Generally I try to opt for things that will release energy slower like whole grains, especially when I have a long work day. If I need fast mental energy for a project I'm working on occasionally I'll break down and have one can of coke if my calories allow it (once a fortnight or a month).
I almost always save a few hundred calories for close to when I know I'll be sleeping. If I mess up one meal early on in the day I'll sometimes fast for 8-10 hours to make up calories and have some left for before I sleep, i drink plenty of water to keep me going while fasting.
I count in my head or if im feeling lazy I'll jot it down in notepad on my phone. Typically 3 small meals a day with a 200 calorie snack somewhere.
The general rule I follow is to listen to my body and ignore my brain.
I think that's everything, ask if you need any more info.Last edited by 00101001010002; 06-10-2016 at 08:45 AM.
