Good beginner program for athletes (in or out of season)

I didn't write this program, I just don't think it gets enough love.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/star...kout-plan.html

I am using it right now twice a week when I coach baseball just to maintain my strength, as diet and rest come at a premium while I am coaching and working. Again, just throwing this out there, as there are already a plethra of good beginner programs on this forum.
    Current goals:
    Eat food
    Get stronger

well , i looked at it , and stopped reading when i see super sets for every single exercise. this is worst thing to do for a beginner.. you will get strong very slow with this . and you have to get strong to build muscle as natural

It looks like a page out of the NROL books. I tried one of those programs, but IMO, they are not good if you work out at a crowded gym (or at a peak time).

It's always a hassle trying to set up the supersets, people start using things, moving things, etc.

I'd rather do straight sets as much as possible, unless I can hole up in a corner some where.
    You can't help the hopeless.

That is actually a solid program. Tony is a leader in the S&C field and obviously know what he is talking about. If you're not supersetting a majority of your exercises, you're wasting a ton of time in the gym.

Not really a good program... too inconsistent and random in exercise selection for a beginner. It'll take a damn long time to establish any strong motor patterns, which is what a beginner should focus on.
