I get about 1/3 of my daily intake of 220-240g from whey? I guess I am doing it wrong then.
Thanks for the advice.
Nothing could be further from the truth. ON is one of the best values out there. It is most often cheaper than bargain brands when you consider the actual amount of protein you are getting. Funny thing is ON a few years back came out with a more bargain priced protein called "Performance Protein". Which the jug may look cheaper......funny thing it is actually more expensive if protein is what you are after.
I have posted this over and over as well as shown the math. It amazes me how few people actually take time to read the labels of what they are getting.
As for me, I have switched most all my protein intake to just pure WPI 90. Unflavored pure isolate. NOW sells a good brand here in 10lb bags. I buy Glanbia direct when I can and get 44lb bags. No added anything. I buy flavored stuff, but will just use a 1/2 a scoop for flavoring and use unflavored for the rest. Or at times, I will just drink the unflavored straight. Adding 25g of protein to 8oz of milk, it is almost hard to tell you added anything to the milk. It does not overly thicken or impact flavor much at all. I will go up to adding 50g and it still mixes will with just 8oz.RAW lifts

ID just out of curiosity how much cheaper is your double secret sourced commercial food grade whey compared to the unflavored NOW (per lb or gram of pro ) I think I could find a source if worth the effort. Also if you have had the natural vanilla NOW how is it?
I've been using ON 10lb bags or vitamin shop which I think might be made by ON. Vitamin shop is very cost effective when it's buy one get one half off.

Last time you posted it I found the manufacture and some distributors, but it's only sold to food processors but I'm thinking anyone with a restaurant would have a distributor that should be able to get it (even if I had to give them $20 for the trouble). I can get the vitamin shop branded WPI for 7.50 lb with the BOGO 50% off, but still less grams per lb due to the flavorings. I like vanilla because I add it to plain Greek yogurt daily but wouldn't mind some unflavored to cut it for shakes etc, the flavored stuff is almost too sweet.

I've been getting the 5lb ON gold standard extreme milk chocolate for 57$ but then there is shipping costs too. Next time I think I'll spring for the 10lb size

Whey Tech Pro 24. Vanilla is 110c/24g pro/1g fat /3g carb for 29.4g serving. It is a mixture of isolate and concentrate but they also have a cheaper concentrate product that is around 18g per serving more fat & carbs. They will not disclose source of manufacture but it tastes like ON and the macro and Amino profile label is identical.
It's only 7.50 per lb when they have the BOGO sales. I usually buy 20-30 lbs then (4-6 jugs). Don't get "Rocky Road" it's nasty and tastes like a mixture of cat piss and hair dye. Vanilla and chocolate for me. Last time I bought it in the store they taxed it like food too which is added savings. Especially here where non food sales tax is nearly 10%.
10lb bags of ON will occasionally drop below $109 on Amazon (chocolate $109 now), easier to store than a bunch of jugs. Free two day shipping with prime.Last edited by Plateauplower; 12-13-2015 at 02:32 PM.

Thanks. That does not look bad. Is not ON though. Ingredients and AA profiles are not the same. Very similar though. Only thing that scared me was glutamine peptides listed on the label (nitrogen spiking), but looking at the breakdown, it does not appear to be a significant amount.
Not a bad deal at all for 7.5/lb for an 82% protein product by weight. (similar to ON)

Yea I guess there are some slight differences, just dug a 10lb bag of ON out of my daughters closet and compared to the Pro Tech (both vanilla). The amino profile isn't broken out on the bag of ON but Glutamine is listed at 3800mg / serving on the Pro Tech and the last ingredient so it can't be much added. However I am really hoping the Pro Tech is US made. I try to avoid China sourced foods / supplements when possible. I usually only use 1-2 scoops per day but have a little more trust in NOW or ON. Overall it's good enough for my intake of it. If I were going to be getting as much protein from whey as you do, I think I would spend the extra couple bucks for the NOW. It's $12 per lb but very little in it other than protein 25g per 28g serving.
