    Personally, I don't have a cheat day but rather 2 cheat meals over the weekend. Usually a Friday and Saturday night but I'm not going over the top at all. Those days are also my 15 mile cycle rides in which i burn around 500-600 cals. You got to still live life!

    I eat unhealthy but I only eat 1500 calories a day that's why I'm skinny . But I started eating healthy for testostrone . I will eat Waffle House once a month .

    Sufficient dietary fat and weight gain are going to help a lot more than overly focusing on eating "clean"/"healthy".

    I'm with posts #3 and #4. No food is inherently "junk" food. Those less-micronutrient-rich foods are perfectly fine as part of a balanced and varied food plan. For me, viewing food as a black-and-white system created an unhealthy relationship and led to a full-blown eating disorder. Practice flexibility and being open to just enjoying an untracked meal out every now and then, and you'll be okay.
    It's about progress, not perfection.

    I'm not an expert when it comes to most aspects of life; sometimes, I have no idea what I'm doing. The more I learn, the more I can do, and the more I can pay it forward and help others.

    Thanks for the input fellas...now I almost think the body needs certain amounts of junk food to think properly, because if I don't eat junk food, my body mind doesn't feel right...lack of energy etc..anyone else get that.

    Sounds like your diet is too low on calories, fat and or carbs. That's why you feel better after "junk food".

    Instead of labeling foods as clean and junk, start looking at the macro and micro nutrient composition of your diet.

    Make sure you're getting adequate calorie intake and dietary fat as well: whole eggs, red meat and/or fatty cuts of fish, nuts, avocado, and 2%/full-fat dairy are just a few dietary fat sources I enjoy on a regular basis.
    It's about progress, not perfection.

    I eat basically whatever i want every day. And it typically fits my macros. So you could say i never cheat, or that i cheat every day depending on how you look at things.

    What a shame. You could make life more enjoyable by incorporating the foods you enjoy daily and you'd make it easier to gain weight.
