    That Sugar Film

In Australia recently we have had a number of shows on TV. The truth about sugar, Sugar conspiracy and more which are mostly nonsense. And there is the one called "That Sugar Film". I hear people going to work the next day and are talking about these shows and saying how evil sugar is and you must avoid it after watching these shows. Of course Taubes and Lustig have been in these films.

Well here is a decent review on this film. I am hoping that if there are people in here who still question sugar or fear it then they read it or people pass this on to people to read.

Enjoy people. I am off to eat some chicken and BBQ sauce with sugar. And some vegetables which also have sugar in them.
Alan Aragon, Brad Schoenfeld, Stu Phillips, Lyle McDonald. FTW.

Not a physique competitor but hope to compete in powerlifting next year. Max bench 1RM with pause 160kg. 352lbs.

    Lift and learn.

There's nothing wrong in sugar as it is. However there's a problem with people's diets with excessive sugar intake and products.

And it's not hard to do if you don't have knowledge.

These films are mostly nonsense. The film "the truth about calories" wasn't too bad. It pretty much said CICO. enjoy your food. The film "sugar vs fat" was okay. It looked like it was actually pro sugar in ways. I watched all these films because I have clients and many people I deal with who have been watching these films and using them as reference as to why sugar is the devil. So I watched them so I can explain the flaws of these shows to them.

You are absolutely correct with propaganda.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a moderate amount of sugar, but my preference is to avoid it as often as possible, since I don't see any benefits from sugar. I often eat sugar free or no sugar added foods, and I replace sugar with artificial sweeteners in recipes.
