Listening to talk radio on my ride to work this morning (F’ck I am getting old with all this talk radio!) and they were talking about co-ed bathrooms. They (who is they anyway? ) are saying that eventually all establishments (bars as well) will eventually have co-ed bathrooms where they will be eliminating urinals and only having bathroom stalls. This way transgender folks would not have a hardtime knowing which restroom to use and avoid embarrassment.
Some callers (mainly men) were pissed and said they did not want to share a bathroom with a woman.
I say come on in baby!!

There are places in Europe where there bathrooms have urinals on one side and water closets on the other (much like a typical men's bathroom in the US). However, the water closets are for both sexes. If you use the urinal, both men and women are walking by you to use the closets, or walking back to the wash area after using the closets. You get used to it.
Americans are hung up on all sorts of "separation/segregation" issues.Journal- One of the Ogres

Remove the urinals.

There are lots of places in Europe that do that. Amsterdam goes one stage further, in that there are stone urinals in the middle of the street. The urinals were put there to stop drunken guys peeing in alleyways, but that's irrelevant. If you go to Leidseplein and head off in pretty much any direction, you will find open air urinals with no privacy screens, just standing there in the street.

San Diego, to prevent public peeing by homeless, put in some toilets at the cost of $500,000 per year.
God these people are ****ing stupid.
How many port a pottys could they have gotten for that price.
of course these are the same politicians who wanted to use dog noises to scare off the sea lions on the beach. Rather then having a guy with a dog just go down there and bark, they wanted to spend another 500k for a sound system to simulate dog barking.
Same people who think they can keep the chargers here by building a home made stadium."To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. I've been in a few public womens bathrooms and they were disgusting past even the filth of the mens room. Depends on where. At a large concert the mens room tends to be cleaner. Clubs not so much so. Bars I've seen the womens rooms cleaner, but again it depends on the type of establishment public isn't always public on private land.
I like the rooms separated because I have daughters and have had to take them into the mens room on occasion. Have gotten physical with a few guys who thought it was funny to flash a little girl. Have seen a lot of guys lose teeth from flashing a little girl in the restroom as well (not always from my hands either) and seen unsympathetic first responders respond to those isolated incidents. Regardless I like the separation and not just as a parent, there are a lot of creeps out there.Ndtha ton eda yi'mg oIng tofi

That's very strange. Because of sauna, everyone in Finland has seen naked bodies at some point in their lives and we don't take nudity too seriously. If you were a Finnish dad, and let's say you'd take your young daughter to a public swimming pool assuming they couldn't go to the ladies sauna/showers alone being too young, they'd probably see a punch of naked men there and nobody would think it was weird.
But then again, they are not deviant about it because it's not sexual.
I vaguely remember a story of a little girl who went to a public sauna with his uncle, and then said in a loud voice around all those strangers "you have a bigger penis than my dad". But we would think that was funny.
Not that funny to Americans, though

I think its fair to attribute it to cultural differences. Here some segments of the population are very prudish while others more extreme. It's confusing in the media and in life with other adults trying to figure out what's acceptable and what is not acceptable. Such a grey area we have for something like nudity which is the 'natural state'. I imagine in many years the extreme side will win and no one but a few will care if its a boob or penis in plain view.

Also, just in comparison, we would think beauty pageants where they make little girls look like adults would be totally sickening and inappropriate, and those kind of pageants would never happen in Finland. I also cringe a little when I see adults kissing children on the mouth. I mean why?..that just looks weird to me.
While I totally understand that children need to be taught it's inappropriate for adults to show them their private parts, I have to wonder what kind of message it sends to your child that when someone shows their penis to her, you punch him in the face.

Hmm.. You've handed me a loaded question. My macho reaction is someone shows their penis to my underaged daughter in our PG culture to put them in the ground, but the realistic reaction tends to be an explanation to her that there are some strange people in the world and now you've got an unfortunate experience to back up the boogie man stories daddy has been telling you.
So at first glance to your question I don't know what the message is that the child would pick up on from that. I suppose if it's a long issue term issue it'll cost someone lots of money in therapy or a home bound child with lots of issues. Or it could be nothing at all.
For MY particular kids I don't think it'll be an issue as seeing male parts or female parts isn't that big of a deal, but the manner of presentation likely was and that the other men in the washroom took offense to the manner of presentation seemed to be the larger issue. So I wound up having to explain why the other men were beating up on that man rather than why that man flashed his penis at them..and why the police weren't that helpful. Made for some interesting conversations but they seem to be fine.Ndtha ton eda yi'mg oIng tofi

I think nowadays young people are totally different and more experienced and knowledgeable about everything than we were when we were young. They have access to all the information and they experience a lot more. I think as long as you teach your daughters to respect themselves, that they don't need to be validated by acting slooty etc. they will be fine.

This would be the most stupid s#it I have seen you post yet.And you know how stupid I think you are.
Take your kids to public places where paedophiles can come and go whenever you want in f#cken Finland.
Everywhere else has MORALS and standards of decency.
Any c#nt shows his dick to my kids gets it cut off.
