i'll post a srs reply. i was fine during my childhood and throughout high school, even though i had very little friends. i spent a lot of time alone, or playing games online with people over skype. i never experienced loneliness.

i got to college and decided to stop being autistic, and now i feel like i'm pretty good with my social skills, at least a lot better than before. except, now whenever i'm alone I kind of start getting depressed. i'm depressed throughout the day too and people sometimes point it out (i don't think this ever happened before college).

but yeah, i was fine being alone before. now, after forcing myself to socialize and becoming competent, i get sad when i'm by myself (but i'm also more sad in general, even when socializing, which i don't even like)
