    Pyramid Rep Scheme For Strength

    Has anyone heard of any program or rep scheme that revolves around doing Pyramid sets for strength? I've only seen Pyramids being done for Body Building and for mass but was thinking if you would just use low reps and heavy weight would Pyramids be an effective strength program?

    Can be done. It's common enough among strength programs - mostly using percentages of your one rep max or working max though.

    In the example above, Sheiko #37 makes use of pyramid sets in benching a few times during the course of the 4 weeks (just a personal example as I've been running it recently) and many other strength routines do make use of it in some way, it's not just a BB technique, it has its place elsewhere.
